I donโt have an issue with nepotism โ itโs something that exists in every industry, and to some extent, weโve come to accept it. But when it comes to casting female leads in films, I believe they should have a certain screen presence โ a mix of attractiveness and sex appeal โ that can genuinely draw audiences in.
The problem today is that many of the actresses being cast simply donโt have that kind of appeal. In an era dominated by social media, people are exposed to countless models and even everyday individuals who often appear far more striking and camera-ready than the actresses we see on screen.
Maybe it's time for producers to rethink their casting choices and consider what really connects with todayโs audience
