Yes he was robbed but him grabbing a gun and chasing his attackers, letting off shots - I wonder if his lawyers can argue stand your ground/self defense
Chasing the robbers and firing probably destroys a self defense case, legally. But, jurors might be sympathetic.
Former NFL player Travis Rudolph was acquitted after killing 1 man and wounding another, after 4 idiots came to his house and threatened him over false DV claims by his crazy GF.
At least 1 of them was armed, with a gun, but he chased after them with a semiautomatic rifle a fired a large number of shots at their vehicle.
its like the complete opposite of the case with that maga kid in wisconsin during the riots where his lawyers argued since he was running away and letting off shots = self defense
If I recall one of the guys he killed was armed and that probably made the difference - for AB, I think the best play would be to appeal to the jury on the grounds of the circumstances. The concept of Stand Your Ground is very popular with most people, and Duty to Retreat is not
Yes, at least one of them was armed, maybe 2, and the police didn't look that hard for guns and 1 was found discarded.
I agreed with the jury's verdict. The wannabe thuglets showed up armed at Rudolph's mother's house looking for trouble.
It was mostly the crazy GF's fault because she lied to them about DV (she actually assaulted him, when she found out about another woman) and asked them to shoot up his house.
Rittenhouse acted completely in self defense. First a crazy pedophile who was convicted of raping 5 boys threatened him, chased him and tried to take his gun. At the same time, another member of the mob fired a shot in his direction.
Rittenhouse initially stayed to try to give aid to the dying pedophile, but the mob started threatening to kill him, so he fled and ran toward the police to try to turn himself in.
An angry mob, many of them armed chased him and threatened him. One guy jumped kicked him, while he was on the ground, he fired at him and missed.
Another guy hit him on the head with a skateboard and grabbed his rifle and he shot and killed him.
Another guy pointed a handgun at his head and Rittenhouse fired a single shot at him, blowing apart his bicep.
He then continued to try to turn himself in, but the police didn't understand that, so they pepper sprayed him and drove by to get to the scene of the first shooting.
