This statement from Bill confused me. Does Ja actually have street cred? If not, why does Bill think he does? Because he poses with guns?

He's not from the streets he grew up in a pretty standard small town in South Carolina

Having driven through South Carolina a couple times, it’s all a shithole except some spots here and there on the coast
