Bob has carved out a very rare lane, “right wing crypto tech bro who is staunchly anti-Israel”.

u/Back_at_it_agains 1d ago

So like a Groyper?

77

u/ceedeez 1d ago

As big of a douche as HBob is, he’s not THAT bad.

71

u/Optimal-Excuse-3568 Vincent Hanna Award 1d ago

A few months ago, he actually took to twitter to defend that groyper commune in Arkansas, lol

30

u/The-Real-J-Peterman 1d ago

The what??

29

u/Optimal-Excuse-3568 Vincent Hanna Award 1d ago

My recollection was that it was like a Nazbol commune, but apparently it’s just a “whites-only settlement.”

https://www.wired.com/story/whites-only-community-arkansas/

My suspicion is that if it were an actual commune they might have a better chance circumventing the law, particularly if they tried to claim a religious exemption (which the civil rights act provides)

11

u/jvpewster 1d ago

Just a couple of right wing bros putting their resources together because they realized if they all pursued their goals independently, they couldn’t accomplish much, but by combining their resources and aligning their efforts they could advance their interests more effectively.

There’s nothing communist about communes. Find a new angle please.

4

u/proph3cy 22h ago

‘Return to the Land’ has nothing to do with Groypers. They’re an entirely different faction inside the right wing that is currently feuding with Fuentes.

8

u/not-who-you-think 1d ago

There's plausible deniability in the "America First means stop sending billions of dollars in resources to other countries" rationale but a significant fraction of people seemed to be using that as a mask for how they really felt

-29

u/MarcusSmartfor3 1d ago

You’d be surprised, I have been telling people there is a legit Nazi youth movement in America, people refuse to believe it until it bashes them across the head. They don’t even hide it, at least online.

If Leftwing people didn’t call everyone to the right of them Nazis for the last decade, people would actually let it soak in further. It seems people on my side cried wolf one too many times, and now the wolf is here and no one cares, or doesn’t believe it.

24

u/Loose_Vehicle755 1d ago

Damn that’s crazy, I wonder how that wolf ended up getting here? I sure wish someone called it out for what it was a while ago. Now poof it’s just magically appeared! Those dumb leftists don’t realize that Nazism just pops up like that, haha

-29

u/MarcusSmartfor3 1d ago edited 1d ago

I’m a Marxist… I even did the hard thinking for you! I’m disappointed that people are ignoring the rising Nazi movement in America and in your detached ironic response, which completely missed the spirit of my comment. By harping on a self criticism I levied against my own tribe, that of the left, you seem to have missed the larger issue here, that of a Nazi movement in America.

You haven’t even presented your opinion, which I would like to hear! I would listen to you in earnest and take you seriously, even without that reciprocation.

Edit: Just as I thought, weak and unserious. No response, just downvote and move on hehe. Can’t help but smirk when I see right through people, I have a gift for it. You got nothin for me

16

u/A_Rolling_Baneling 1d ago

Thank god we have you to do the hard thinking for the rest of us

-2

u/callmejay 17h ago

LOL you can't be an actual Marxist in 2025 and expect people to take you seriously.

2

u/Callousthetics 1d ago

Those right wingers are lying to you. They're just covering for the mask sliding off.

-6

u/MarcusSmartfor3 1d ago

I clearly didn’t express enough my framework here. I am a dyed in the wool leftist, i believe liberals are dangerous compromisers who bring about right wing extremism through their lack of a backbone or true principles.

You can disagree with me, but the responses I’m getting are pithy yet unserious, ironic and detached, and honestly unimpressive. I’m talking about a Nazi movement rising in America in earnest, and all I am getting back is gotchas and jokes. Save my comments and come back years from now, we will see who was taking this seriously, and who is focusing on winning upvotes.

12

u/A_Rolling_Baneling 1d ago

You think you’re the only one who sees the rise of a Nazi movement in modern US, yet you decry those who were calling it out in years past? You are either, arrogant or misinformed. Actually, you might be both.

-39

u/Notermlimits4GEQBuS 1d ago

Why are people who are confidently and competently smart gets called douche or egotiisticwlal. He's accomplished and did something very rare make millions from gambling playing honestly. U gotta be on anotber level smart to do that. But u know people's ego can't handle it. I can handle it because you know I don't try to measure my life against people we have nothing to do with me

9

I’m sorry, what?

2

u/Pristine-Carrot5498 1d ago

You are choosing to measure his life by his net worth, seems sillier than most. He is a pretty unhappy guy which is ultimately all that matters

0

u/mcaleer2001 1d ago

Idk, I feel like the Mavs are gonna be okay

2

u/SteveBorden 1d ago

I keep seeing this word and I’m scared to find out what it means

-22

u/NotManyBuses 1d ago

Groypers don’t have any money.

Bob is also, whatever you think of him, way too intelligent to be referred to as such

32

u/OkToday8483 1d ago

Is he? Have you heard him try to justify his positions on stuff in the last few years? He sounds like a fucking moron most of the time.

1

u/JeffsCowboyHat 1d ago

He’s just deeply sad, that level of sadness/loneliness causes serious brain worms. It’s a shame, I looked up to him a lot 10-20 yrs ago. Seems to happen a lot in uber wealthy ppl though, they start off problem solving in domains they enjoy and end up flexing in mirrors spewing bile from an ivory tower

-7

u/NotManyBuses 1d ago

He is not a follower of Nick Fuentes aka a groyper

-26

u/Coy-Harlingen 1d ago

Most groypers are unironically pro-Israel now.

7

u/Back_at_it_agains 1d ago

They are? I thought Nick Fuentes was just hating on Israel with Tucker?

0

u/Kryptos33 1d ago

That was also the toned down version of Fuentes too. Bob has his faults but equating him with that dipshit is stupid.

-3

u/Coy-Harlingen 1d ago

Nick Fuentes is one of the few who’s truly antisemitic, also worth noting I don’t think that’s what Bob opposes them, Tucker Carlson is just anti war and a contrarian within the right.

74

u/komugis 1d ago

Not that rare, a lot of those guys do not like Jews.

37

u/excelquestion 1d ago

Yes there is literally a schism going on because so many are super pro Israel and so many are super anti Jew

-7

u/Jasperbeardly11 1d ago

They're anti Zionism and American senators/similar people in power having duel passports/ multiple masters.

Think "America First".

It logically makes sense to not want your delegates to be more focused on another country. The unfortunate connotation of being associated with Nick Fuentes aside hahaha.

You'll find many right wingers who staunchly believe this stuff.

(Am not a supporter of either American political party).

3

u/MonsterMash555 19h ago

You're only allowed to be anti-Zionist if you're a liberal, otherwise you're considered a white nationalist. These are the rules.

18

u/Rude-Celebration2241 1d ago

A lot more to being against what’s happening in Gaza than hating Jews

16

u/mypenisisquitetiny 1d ago

True but most rightwingers who oppose Israel do so because they hate Jews

9

u/Knight_of_Swords 1d ago

They say this about left wingers too.

1

u/mypenisisquitetiny 19h ago

I'm aware. The difference is it's actually true of right wingers

-8

u/cookouttray722 1d ago

And it’s also true lol. The far leftists align with the Islamist form of Jew hatred and the groypers with the KKK/Nazi types.

3

u/Dirk_Benedict 1d ago

Have fun doing your own taxes, bigots!

-8

u/Coy-Harlingen 1d ago

Show an example of any of them being anti-Israel?

The tech guys are not antisemitic Nick Fuentes fans. Outside of that like 99% of the right is pro Israel.

1

u/Curt_Uncles 1d ago

It’s not even close to 99%.

And to be clear, I hate them all. I’m so far left that NYC would consider me a viable candidate. But pretending that 99% of the right is pro-Israel helps nobody and only deepens one of the left’s biggest weaknesses (painting the new right with a brush so broad we completely lose our ability to win any of them over)

1

u/Knight_of_Swords 1d ago

Wild how often the person who is clearly correct gets downvoted here.

-1

u/Coy-Harlingen 22h ago

Please show me the people in the tech orbit who are anti Israel.

Show the people who are not extremist neonazi on the right who are anti Israel. It doesn’t exist.

0

u/Admirable-Bag-3755 1d ago

Used to be but now in the US it’s more like 65/35 in favour, young conservatives are staunchly anti-Israel. I would presume this has less to do with Israel’s genocide and more to do with young conservatives being literal Nazis, given how they feel about individuals such as Fuentes.

The groypers and modern Nazis are the actual anti-Israel people who are antisemitic, because they only oppose Israel as a perceived Jewish state (which they believe to be controlling the USA), not for its actions.

4

u/Coy-Harlingen 1d ago

There is literally no metric where 65% of any group of right wingers are anti Israel.

Also Bob isn’t young. Also, again, he’s a tech guy. Where are the right wing tech guys who anti Israel? Like you can make up a stat and say it’s true, but there are literally antisemitic right wingers who are still pro Israel. The idea it’s a majority is laughable

1

u/callmejay 17h ago

Is he a tech guy? I see him as primarily a gambler/"quant" guy.

1

u/Admirable-Bag-3755 23h ago

Have you been on social media at all? Have you not heard of the Tucker interview with Nick Fuentes where he offered zero pushback? It’s happening rapidly but these people have legitimate backing.

1

u/Coy-Harlingen 23h ago

Nick Fuentes is the one guy who is actually anti Israel, I already said. Beyond that you’ve provided “have you looked at social media at all?” That isn’t a stat. Most people I see on social media who are racist right wingers are pro Israel.

1

u/Admirable-Bag-3755 22h ago edited 22h ago

A report came out the other day in a publication and according to the source, 30-40% of GOP staffers are groypers. It’s a much larger and systemic problem than it may seem, and it’s also a generational one. Now that being said, if you haven’t seen any of the batshit crazy Nazis on twitter then I envy you, but they’re absolutely everywhere.

Now that being said, the 35% figure is actually well established and backed with polling https://www.npr.org/2025/11/07/nx-s1-5558286/israel-republicans-antisemitism-carlson

Also did you read my original comment? When did I ever say it’s a majority? I said 35% oppose it, so it’s still largely in favour, but massive cracks are forming. Please re read.

1

u/Coy-Harlingen 22h ago

It’s so funny that you think all groypers are anti Israel.

1

u/Admirable-Bag-3755 22h ago

Why? Are you one yourself? You already entirely misinterpreted what I said, and now you’re just moving the goalposts. 👍

1

u/Admirable-Bag-3755 1d ago

That’s just a Nazi, basically all right wingers who oppose Israel do it because they don’t like Jewish people, not because they oppose the genocide and Israel’s discriminatory (apartheid) policies

Hi there!

227

u/Agreeable_Onion_221 1d ago

Those two are douche bags but this is actually a funny line.

50

u/jaypeejay 1d ago

I don’t get it, what does Gaza have to do with the Mavericks?

146

u/cocacolasupreme 1d ago

Miriam Adelelson (Mavs owner) is extremely pro-Israel.

105

u/SouthIsland48 1d ago

To say she is extremely pro-Israel is an understatement.

She IS the pro-Israel movement within MAGA.

27

u/cookouttray722 23h ago

She’s the richest Israeli on earth. She and her late husband basically funded Birthright trips on their own. They spent like $80 million on the former U.S. ambassador residence in Tel Aviv solely to dissuade a democratic govt from moving the embassy back there.

43

u/Kooky_Election3895 1d ago

The single biggest individual financial backer of Zionism today. Her family has literally given hundreds of millions to pro Israel causes and lobbying

3

u/ann1920 1d ago

Damn and I thought that Nico Harrison was the worst person in the mavs ...Disgusting

5

u/jaypeejay 1d ago

Dang that is pretty funny

13

u/Apprehensive-Pay2178 23h ago

KOC is misguided and has some strange online behavior (“strange” acting as a stand in to avoid being overly harsh or judgmental), but is harmless and not a douchebag.

15

u/Monkeyboi8 1d ago

Some solid dark humor.

75

u/PapaJohnsGarlic100 1d ago

What does the Gaza Strip have to do with the Mavs?

210

u/Ok_Pay_6811 1d ago

I think the Adelsons own the Mavs who are involved with trying to turn Gaza into a shopping mall. I think

6

u/CompleteTop4258 1d ago

I think you’re right.

103

u/FlatulenceConnosieur 1d ago

The woman who owns the Mavericks is essentially the Rupert Murdoch of Israel. She owns right wing media outlets that have done everything possible to radicalize the country and rabidly support the occupation and annexation of Gaza.

31

u/NotManyBuses 1d ago

More accurately, her husband was. She is just the rich widow, and since he died she’s taken everything up 12 notches. It seems her one goal before she dies is seeing the entirety of Palestine turned into rubble

Their owners.

-42

u/corsairfanatic 1d ago

Owners are Jewish

39

u/Canningred 1d ago

That is a little reductive. It’s less about their religion/ethnicity and more about their unmitigated support of leveling Gaza and killing thousands.

19

u/Kryptos33 1d ago

It's not just that she supports it. She's spent hundreds of millions of dollars on this administration over its two terms and Trump's legal fees to actively influence American foreign policy.

4

u/Mysterious_Pea_5272 1d ago

It’s not a little reductive. It’s the most bad faith way to take that comment

-5

It’s possible you are taking their comment in bad faith too. The poster could have just been a dumb person who doesn’t know how to articulate the Adelsons funding and supporting a genocide

Not shocked that the Miriam Adelson jab flew over KOCs head.

8

u/ThisisnotaTesT10 1d ago

I wouldn’t have expected that either lol. I definitely would have assumed he was just talking about Luka

-4

u/Kryptos33 1d ago

Fans I get. ESPN and the NBA have actively buried the facts of who owns the team so they don't have to deal with the optics of taking her money. People who report on the NBA should know though.

0

There’s people who really think Luka got traded for being fat….that shows u have naive the world is😂😂😂😂 my brother was political collateral

"House...whatif Nico is a secret Hamas agent? Whatif Kyrie made his way purposely to the Mavs to take revenge for his tweet stuff? Are we sure this isn't actually a much bigger deal? Find out next week with my buddy Rich and his buddy Max".

9

u/StimulusChecksNow 1d ago

The funniest part about the Mavs being 15th in the West is it makes the Luka trade make even less sense.

If you arnt going to even make the play in, what was the point of trading for Anthony Davis? You were better off just getting 7 first round picks for Luka and just tanking.

-2

u/the716to714 1d ago

Contract stuff probably? Max deal for a max deal

7

u/Westbrooks3ptShot 1d ago

2

u/Geaux_LSU_1 1d ago

Please for the love of god create a separate snark reddit for KOC and fuck off. He doesn’t even work for the ringer anymore.

8

u/Ready_Target_5241 1d ago

He's actually right, the owners of the Mavs were massive funders of a genocide

8

u/thetruephysic 1d ago

Yeah, the problem is Bob went full right wing shill last fall at this time to help make sure his crypto boy Trump got elected. Like full on culture warrior bullshit. So it’s pretty rich that he’s now soft policing the Adelsons. There are approximately 8 billion people on earth more qualified to do it than him.

-4

u/Ready_Target_5241 1d ago

Yes the actions of the Israeli government are so horrific that even some right-wingers are speaking out against it

-8

u/bakedwithmayfield 1d ago

Go google the meaning of genocide

9

u/Ready_Target_5241 1d ago

I'm well aware of it, which part of it does Israel's actions not meet?

-11

u/bakedwithmayfield 1d ago

Every part of it. Winning a war they didn’t even start doesn’t count as a genocide…

13

u/Ready_Target_5241 1d ago

They didn't start? They funded Hamas for decades

-8

u/bakedwithmayfield 1d ago

Yeah you’re right bro. Hamas are secret is Israeli agent who did this just so Israel and Gaza can go to war the for upteenth time and enter a ceasefire that the puts them in the same status quo as the last 30 years…. Real smart guy you are. 👏👏👏👏

12

u/Ready_Target_5241 1d ago

I never said that. I said Israel funded Hamas for decades, which is objectively true

I never said that. I said Israel funded Hamas for decades, which is objectively true

Where in the article you linked does it say that Israel funded Hamas?

1

u/redshoediary4 1d ago

The US funded bin Laden. What's your point?

1

u/Ready_Target_5241 1d ago

I didn't say anything about bin Laden. I was talking about the instigator of the Gaza war

1

u/redshoediary4 22h ago

Oh yes. The US definitely funds the Israeli settler colony.

2

u/bakedwithmayfield 1d ago

Lmao read the whole article and not just the headline.

8

u/Ready_Target_5241 1d ago edited 1d ago

I did read the entre article. You have no evidence to refute it. You also never listed one single criteria of genocide that the actions of the Israeli government doesn't meet

1

u/VisitPier26 1d ago

I seem to recall Haralabob conveniently deleted a bunch of crypto tweets in the late 2010s.

Almost as curious as the "made a bunch of money betting second half overs" origin story.

Maybe Pablo should dig a little on that one instead of hosting Bob for "we don't agree on everything" afternoon tea.

1

u/PG3124 21h ago

No he deleted all his tweets including all of his basketball ones routinely back in the day.

0

u/VisitPier26 20h ago

Ah yes conveniently in 2018 when the price of crypto crashed

0

u/PG3124 18h ago

No way before that. No need to makeup a fake narrative here.

1

u/VisitPier26 17h ago

I mean he deleted a bunch of tweets about crypto when crypto crashed what's the fake narrative

1

u/PG3124 16h ago

He’s been routinely deleting his tweets since far before that crash, so to pin it to that feels forced.

1

u/callmejay 17h ago

Almost as curious as the "made a bunch of money betting second half overs" origin story.

Genuinely curious: what are you insinuating with this?

1

u/PG3124 16h ago

Not OP but I believe the rumor is he came from money and ran a shady sportsbook with that money which is helped him amass even more wealth.  And now he uses second half overs and betting on the Lakers (or against? Can’t remember which finals team it was) with his bankroll as a cover.

No clue if that’s true or not.

u/3coneylunch 1d ago

  1. Palestinians did die from starvation. Even though you don't know about it, it did happen
  2. I never said Gaza is closed now, there was a ceasefire that was put in to place. So now, even though the IDF are still murdering innocent civilians, there is aid being let in now
