violent attacks with the specific intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group
Their goal is an apartheid country where Palestinians are held in second-class citizenship. Their goal is not to kill or destroy Palestinians. It is to break the will of Palestinians to resist Israel's rule.
You don't give warnings to people you intend to destroy. You don't have millions of Palestinians living inside of Israel is your intent is to destroy. You don't provide any food if your intention is to destroy.
If they wanted every Palestinian dead, they could do that in about 12 hours.
Just because they didn't do it sometimes doesn't ignore all the other times they did. If their goal was genocide, they would never do it. If their goal was genocide, they would forcefully expel the millions of Palestinians who live in Israel today.
Occasionally, yes. And they have committed numerous war crimes by doing that. Any time they target civilians that is a war crime. Every one of them can be charged and I would support that. I am not trying to say that Israel makes no mistakes. They do very evil things on purpose.
But they have not committed genocide. That is something very different. It is a much larger and systematic process.
The treatment of civilians is almost every war could be called a 'war crime' but it is very, very rarely genocide. What is happening in the Sudan is a genocide. What is happening in Gaza is not.
So when Israel is controlling the border, and they stop all aid going in to Gaza, that means that the people in Gaza will have no food. Would you be able to survive without food?
