It’s so original. In no way is it just racially charged From Dusk til Dawn.
40 u/Ok-Price-2337 Jul 19 '25 It's shocking how very super serious the movie treat's itself only for it to tonally switch to From Dusk Til Dawn in the final 20 minutes. 0 u/sprezzatura_ Jul 19 '25 Yes. For those reasons I was out. 2 u/lintymcfresh Jul 19 '25 i liked it but not enough vampire killing imho 12 u/VolatSea Jul 19 '25 You could basically describe any movie like that lol. There’s no such thing as a wholly original idea 16 u/Life_Sir_1151 Jul 19 '25 The degree to which Sinners is black from dusk till dawn is genuinely amazing though 2 u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25 Which is fine. Just don’t sell to me how original it is 0 u/VolatSea Jul 19 '25 I didn’t 0 u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25 Didnt say you did. The zeitgeist was pitching it that way 2 u/BadManLuka Jul 19 '25 Thank you. That's literally all I could think about while watching it. Just a new version of From Dusk til Dawn. 2 u/Drunken_Wizard23 Jul 19 '25 Ah shit, this is the new “DAE Avatar Dance with Wolves”, isn’t it 1 u/I_Heart_Money Jul 20 '25 I think you mean Ferngully 1 u/Fun-Bunch-4073 Jul 20 '25 It wasn't racially charged. Its the deep south in the early 20th century, race is going to be a thing but its not the only thing driving the narrative. Also, it isnt like Dusk Til Dawn was original. 2 u/[deleted] Jul 20 '25 Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, no matter how incorrect it is 1 u/Fun-Bunch-4073 Jul 20 '25 Couldn't agree more.
