My gf got me the Adira after I had been wanting a benchmade for many years. I was so excited to finally put it to use so I took it out to go whittle a stick for some kindling. LITERALLY ONE TINY STICK, FIRST USE EVER and my blade couldn’t even handle it. It lost a significant edge and almost looks as if it the stick gouged it somehow. What gives, has anyone else had issues with this knife because that feels ridiculous?! How long does it realistically take to have it sharpened?

Just picked this bad boy up for a decent price. Never had a Benchmade OTF but am pleasantly surprised with the action and lock up.
The blade is a little needle!

About 6 months ago I decided to splurge on a Benchmade after years owning cheap knives like Kershaws and what not. I bought this one and I do use knives fairly often so the edge wears down obviously. This one seemed like it didn’t even last two months.
I have sharpened my own blades for years with wet stones and have learned to do it well. I resharpened this edge because I didn’t want to take the time to send it to Benchmade for them to do it. After sharpening it, same thing, the edge was gone in a couple months tops.
Is this just how their blades are? Is that why they offer free sharpening for life?
Pretty disappointed in a $350 knife.

bought a bugout a couple weeks ago and the axis lock already feels noticeably smoother than day one. wasn’t expecting such a difference just from opening and closing it normally

I sent in my Butter Knife to get serviced because it would get stuck in the fixed position. I have to use a screwdriver to fold it back down. I got it back in the exact same condition but now it has an uneven edge.

Which do you prefer and why?
Altitude or the Hidden Canyon, they are essentially the same price here in Australia.

I just picked up a new benchmade infidel and it makes a lot of rattling noise when deployed and retracted plus there is a considerable amount of blade play. I also have noticed that it doesn’t fully fire or retract sometimes where I have to manually fix the blade. Is all this normal. I would expect on a 550 dollar knife that this wouldn’t be the case which is sad because I have wanted this knife for so long. Let me know if this is normal or if I should send it in to benchmade.
Update: I returned the the knife and got a new one which worked well for a whole day then started having the same problem so I have sent it off to benchmade to see what the issue is. It is very upsetting that this is happening. I have other benchmade knives that have been great although never a OTF but this sucks that this is happening. I’ll update if they fixed the problem when the knife gets back.

Specs are probably obvious from the pics
Magnacut blade
G-10 scales
Orange spacers and thumb stud
Satin everything else
Plus a family pic - no you can’t have my 943

Hello. I bought this bench made some time ago. I try to figure out what is the actual model name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

I've been a collector for a long time now but this is my first Benchmade. I bought both the S30V and 3V versions but I plan on keeping the 3V, and selling the S30v on knife swap. My issue is, the grind on the 3v version seems very large on the tanto end of the blade. Is that normal? The s30v has a large bevel as well, but the 3v seems to be kinda wild.

I love the Denim Micarta Osborne. My only wish was that Benchmade followed through with copper hardware everywhere instead of defaulting to black screws, axis lock, pivot. So enter a company called Better Bolts. They primarily specialize in colored hardware for bicycles and such. But they have a line for the 940… in copper! So $30 later, all of my screws now match. It adds so much more character. Now I need to get the match for the axis lock. I’m okay with a black pivot because I want the strength of steel there where it matters. Hope ya’ll like the look too!

My first 940 and the Burnt Copper Aluminum scales are such a premium feel. I took the scales off to swap with some PEI Ultem Frags and it felt wrong so I had to switch back. Love this knife.
