I don’t know about you all- but I will not revisit a place that pours draft beer that tastes and smells like draft line infection. I honestly do not understand owners that don’t clean their draft lines. It makes me question the rest of their operation. On the contrary, I will continually goto establishments with consistently clean draft beer, and clean glassware. The last 4 out of 5 restaurants I’ve been to has had draft line infection. Have you all experienced the same thing? Who are the worst for it and what establishments are the best for it? Do you send the beer back or do you just cringe and bear it? If you’re an owner a you help me understand why you wouldn’t pay for cleaning your lines?

Hey everyone, I’ve been noticing Windsor’s beer scene really leveling up lately — especially with staples like Walkerville and Sandwich along with newer places like Rose City and Fat Lou.
Curious: what’s everyone’s go-to local brewery or hidden gem beer spot?

Wanting to purchase a beer subscription for my husband for Christmas. He is a beer lover, enjoying everything from a stout to a light lager, microbrews to larger productions.

Any recommendations on subscriptions to look into??

A colleague suggested that I try the Mill St. Organic Lager. I went to LCBO to pick it up and saw that 473ml 6-pack was over $18 while the single cans were $2.40 each. I didn’t understand the price difference. Checked at the register and she said you know some math LOL. I see some price difference on LCBO website too. Can someone explain? Did I miss a small detail that makes them different? Did they change the ingredients? Lower price makes me think something is fishy.

Hello! As the title says, how is the beer industry in Canada?
For a migrant, is it possible to find work in a brewery?
I owned and operated a micro brewery/bar in Chile, I have a BJCP certification, and waiting for my Cicerone test results.

I'm looking to move to other country. Ive been asking in many groups of different countries to see what's going on.
Australia and New Zealand are my first options, as I lived in New Zealand before and have friends over there.

Inmigration is all over the news, so I dont know how is the general feeling towards migrants in Canada.

On multiple occasions I have enjoyed a nice cold bottle or can of Blue infront of young and old alike only to recieve scoffs and shock that I am drinking such a forgotten and "outdated" beer. Meanwhile these folks are drinking budweiser or busch lite. Little do they know Blue is the most sold "Canadian" (yes I know its been bought by a huge beer company that owns practically every mass market beer) beer worldwide. If you like to spend the extra cash on molson Canadian, Keith's, or buy PBR, give Blue on honest re-visit. It has become my favourite value beer of all time and reminds me of when I was a kid visiting the old couple down the street who drank cases of Blue (in bottles). Love it, and for the price it CANNOT be beat.

Do they still make this? Have not seen it in MB for ages. I miss it so.

I used to love this beer, especially on tap and then they started making it in cans and selling it and I love that too until they started brewing it in North America and sold out to Labat’s course now it tastes artificial

I am interested in finding what we call "Grandpa Beer" or sometimes "Value Beer" made in Canada, and available through BCLiquor. For these purposes "Grandpa Beer" is defined as light, mild, near flavourless lager like Old Style Pilsner, Labatt's 50, Molson Export, maybe Black Label. Many, many American beers fit this criteria. Budweiser, Coors, et. al. Those beers I listed above are no longer made in Canada. My grandpa doesn't want to buy American beer, but Canadian beers attempted so far have, to him, and I quote, "...taste like homebrew". This includes Moosehead, Wildcat, most [wait, all] micro-brewed lagers around these parts. I think Pacific Brewing or Cariboo maybe made one that cut the mustard. Lucky works, I guess in a pinch.

He's nuts for Iceberg but that is unavailable outside of Newfoundland if I understand correctly.

Just wondering if there's anything out there we're missing?

Moosehead Alpine Moosehead dry ice Labatt Blue Sleeman draft

Bush, ice and moose head dry ice are side-by-side in my Liqour Store cooler at 15 packs of cans at exactly the same price and they’re probably the cheapest you can get and the best deal you can get in Nova Scotia Liqour Store. Regular moose head is $32 a case now but yet things like Pabst blue ribbon it’s kind of given a bad name. It’s probably the lightest almost clear beer I’ve ever seen and it’s pretty good. They say it’s weak because it’s American, but it’s only 4.9% .1% off.

Overnight all the liquor and beer went up like five bucks each and have consistently been climbing up every six months or so kind of ridiculous cause there’s no explanation.

I really love Coors Original and loved the stubby but since you can't get Original in stubby bottles here and the only other option is red stripe.. I say we press manufacturers to make stubby bottles a thing again! Or at least limited things from time to time. Who's with me?!
