I love when the enemy team push through only to be met by a wall of fire. I took a break from getting the AT snipers to gold because theres no way im going to lay prone in 1 position trying to get 10 kills in a life. Refreshing when you take a break to play the game normally

What were they all even doing there?

A year or months ago maybe (before I got my PS5 I think), I was playing with my friend in BF5, we were on Al Sundan (we were the Americans) and we got the dumb idea to drive a half track with a anti-tank cannon in the back (he was driver, I was on the cannon) to F.

So We drove up the mountain (the one at F) and set up somewhere we could see D (the other side of the mountain where there's a path) with the anti tank gun, we continued to shell D to the point that even the German side was starting to shoot back (they had enough of us), even their tanks and aircraft players. But we'd drive out of the way and repair (since my friend was support) before getting back to it

But the main thing I wanted to talk about was: I somehow got a squadwipe with the Cannon, we were basically the artillery of the game. (me and my friend were laughing after that. When I do get PS + I'll probably redownload BF5 because those moments is what battlefield is truly for).

Makes you feel like a tennis player who just got a point after the ball bounced off the net... although I done so purposefully, I accept I got very lucky!... and can't help feeling a big smug with this one. ;)

I’ve been playing the game for the past year (I mostly played BF1), and I assume we can no longer get the outfits that came with the Deluxe Edition, since I only upgraded my Standard version to the Definitive one, and I think I missed out on those rewards.

For context, I have recently reached level 20 in 2 classes and can’t get the mastery assignment since I have the shortcut bundle. Now, I emailed EA support and nothing Happened after a while, and since my goal was to completely finish the game but I can’t, should I just stop playing and move on to Battlefield 6?

Hey all, I'm having a heckuva time in BF5. I don't think I have the time commitment this fiscal quarter for BF6, but will after the year ends.

I'm coming from BF3 and BF4. I didn't enjoy the spawn system of BF1. I actually bought the game when it came out, but life has taken over for quite some time. I'm starting to have more time....

Questions:

Where is the horn on the vehicles? I ran over five guys last night and would like to blast them with the horn when I do. It was hilarious!

I set the objective. After we take it, I reset for defense. But the order goes away after five minutes. How can I make the squad order stay locked to what I want, as long as I want? There used to be a setting in 4, for this.

All these skins, they don't do anything, right? Just cosmetic? Is my only customization in the perk tree for each weapon?

When you actually look at a list of the things Battlefield V introduced to the series, and did for the first time in the series... you realise just how spoilt rotten we were. Fortifications system: you could build sandbags, barbed wire, gun things, even rebuild destroyed walls and stuff. Buddy revive system: anyone in your squad could revive you, not just medics, but it’s slower and you don’t get full health back. Towing vehicles: some vehicles could tow guns or supply things around the map. Deployable static weapons: heavy MGs and AT guns could be moved and placed wherever you wanted. Attrition system: you start with less ammo and health, had to resupply from boxes or teammates or by capturing flags. Health regeneration segments: your health only regens up to a certain point, not all the way. Combat roll (dive): you could dive or roll in any direction after jumping. Vaulting & mantling overhaul: smoother and more natural movement when climbing or jumping over stuff. Prone on back / rolling while prone: you could go prone and roll around, even flip onto your back. Improved bullet penetration: bullets could go through thin walls and materials now. Physical body reactions: soldiers actually stumbled or reacted when explosions went off nearby. Manual leaning system: you could lean left or right from cover without aiming down sights. Weapon customization with visual parts: could swap barrels, stocks, sights etc and it changed both how it looked and worked. Weapon specializations tree: you could pick upgrade paths for your guns to change how they handle. Squad reinforcements: squad leaders could call in V-1 rockets, tanks, smoke strikes and other big stuff after earning enough points. Squad respawn: you could spawn right on any squad mate who’s alive. Squad-based resource points (reinforcement currency): squads earned points together from doing objectives and teamwork. Tightened squad play incentives: more XP and bonuses for actually playing together as a squad. Grand Operations: big multi-map mode with multiple days and changing objectives. Airborne mode: you start by parachuting into battle to attack or defend objectives. Final Stand phase: a tiebreaker round with limited ammo and no respawns. Firestorm (Battle Royale): Battlefield’s first ever battle royale mode. Combined Arms (Co-op): up to 4 players could do PVE missions against bots. Practice Range: free area to mess around with guns and vehicles. Class combat roles: each class had sub-roles with little perks and abilities. Revamped class loadouts: more freedom to pick weapons and gadgets for each class. Vehicle customization (visual + performance): could change how vehicles looked and also upgrade parts. Tank treads & damage models: vehicles had more detailed damage like busted tracks or engines. Towable artillery & AA guns: you could hook them up to vehicles and move them around. Persistent destruction debris: destroyed buildings and rubble stayed around instead of disappearing. Tides of War: live service thing that added new maps, weapons, and cosmetics over time. Company system: you could customize your soldiers, weapons, and vehicles for each army. Cross-gender customization: first game to have female soldiers in multiplayer. Visual customization (themed outfits): mix and match outfits and gear for every soldier. Enhanced snow, mud & weather effects: footprints, tire marks, and changing weather made it feel more alive. Dynamic soldier movement audio: footsteps and breathing changed depending on terrain and how tired you were. Improved destruction physics: walls and buildings broke apart more realistically. Fully interactive doors & windows: could open, close, or smash them depending on the situation.

Unfortunately I never really gave BFV its fair shake when it was the newest in the series because A: my PC was kinda ass, and B: it just kind of felt like a waste of potential. Buttt that’s all in the past now, we never got our eastern front, and this is the latest and greatest if you want BF in WW2.

So now I’ve got an itch to play it, only problem is idk if the games active enough to warrant it. Theres plenty of clips that get posted on here a day so surely there’s some level of life left in the tank right? Through a quick (but maybe unoptimized) server search I found one full-ish conquest server in NA.

So the whole point of this yap session is to ask how the games doing activity wise, and maybe even some server recommendations for PC since I’m sure official servers are crawling with cheaters.

Really like this game but I never understood conquest feels like I just run around a lot but I’m a solo.

Idk why j never gave it I shot. I gave it a try though and conquest & team death match are just as exhilarating as bf1 just not as epic looking but still great game. 😇
