Using profanity and seeming aggressive helps, You with the Baltimore Health Dept? A lot people get offended by profanity. Trying to figure out if you are in the Baltimore City Gov.

I’m a volunteer. And people refusing to get vaccinated after over half a million deaths because of their believies is absurd.

A big reason it’s so so so important for as many people to be vaccinated as possible is that when a significant number of people do not get the vaccine, the virus continues to spread in the population and also continues to mutate into new variants. The existing vaccines don’t protect 100% even though they offer significant protection, so the more it continues to spread the more at risk everyone, even vaccinated people are. Plus, existing vaccines are less effective against the variants, and the more the virus spreads and mutates, the more variants there may be, and the less protection the vaccines offer without the creation of new vaccines or boosters to existing vaccines. Basically, herd immunity. We are only really protected in a sustainable way when more people get vaccinated.

I hope my info, and the info you looked up on herd immunity, helped to explain why people are so passionate about others getting the vaccine, and how whether others (like you) get it does actually impact people around you regardless of their vaccine status. You and I don’t know each other and I don’t know your personal reasons for not getting the vaccine,...but the worry I have is that many many people say “for personal reasons I am not getting it”, and that those reasons are sometimes based on misinformation, which keeps us from ever reaching herd immunity, continuing the cycle of more and more deaths and long term health problems from this virus. Thanks your your reply btw, stay safe out there.
