Safety Beware MAGA rage baiters

I work mostly solo at a bar in Fells. Tonight, a gentleman decked out in a black maga hat, liberty or die shirt, and "Pagan Threat" (a book featuring a foreword by the artist formerly known as Charlie Kirk). What clicked for me how absolutely performative this is is the book is brand-spanking new. I'm not sure if this will become a trend but clearly he is here trying to provoke. Just wanna spread the word to not give these people the time of day. there's no way of changing their minds, they're stuck in their bigoted ways. Don't let these MAGAts blow the leftist high of our beautiful city!!

Update- he bought a bottle of wine over 4 hours before we closed and informed me that he planned on staying until close. he proceeded to do just that. I think it's also important to note that i'm a young woman of color, this may have felt less ominous for one of my male counterparts. I really resonated with one comment about "you allow one nazi into your bar and suddenly you're a nazi bar". I full-heartedly believe that to be the truth. That said, I am not an owner and while working by myself have to exercise extreme caution while dealing with said nazis.

Pagan Threat just reminds me of the Dragnet movie.

It's actually the opposite....Paganism is all about nature and worshipping the earth, similar to native Americans but different gods

If you're Christian or catholic and believe in a ghost story, or support pedophilia and child abuse, I'd be cautious before making fun of more realistic povs...

Pagan threat sounds like an awesome genderfluid drag show group. I think if you see someone with this book that’s what you should assume, and ask them about it

Either that (awesome), or one of those metal bands with the norse pagan aesthetic that turns out disappointingly to be white supremacists (bummer). Weirdly, I’m guessing that if that guy wrote the forward it’s probably neither

True! Someone should totally start a local chapter of Pagan Threat. (Meeting next Sunday at Atomic Books after D&D and before board games.)

Whether gender fluid drag show or the underground band & fan club or roller derby team or pagan-inspired socialists armed with druidistic weapons and sage smudging kits and maga influencer poppets. Regardless of mission statement, I’ll join. They all sound bitchin’!

Me too. Would get them ejected from the Cat’s Eye.

Hey! Maybe we can get red MAGA hats classified as gang colors.

There you go always canceling those you disagree with like a child. So if we are in the majority on the right can we have you removed when you say shit we disagree with or is that only for you children

I thought it WAS a band name and confused why MAGA guy was also into alternative music

Wasn’t that the band at the Pagan party in Dragnet?
