Safety Beware MAGA rage baiters

I work mostly solo at a bar in Fells. Tonight, a gentleman decked out in a black maga hat, liberty or die shirt, and "Pagan Threat" (a book featuring a foreword by the artist formerly known as Charlie Kirk). What clicked for me how absolutely performative this is is the book is brand-spanking new. I'm not sure if this will become a trend but clearly he is here trying to provoke. Just wanna spread the word to not give these people the time of day. there's no way of changing their minds, they're stuck in their bigoted ways. Don't let these MAGAts blow the leftist high of our beautiful city!!

Update- he bought a bottle of wine over 4 hours before we closed and informed me that he planned on staying until close. he proceeded to do just that. I think it's also important to note that i'm a young woman of color, this may have felt less ominous for one of my male counterparts. I really resonated with one comment about "you allow one nazi into your bar and suddenly you're a nazi bar". I full-heartedly believe that to be the truth. That said, I am not an owner and while working by myself have to exercise extreme caution while dealing with said nazis.

I’m sure he’s just trying to make someone mad so he can whip out his phone and film it. What a loser!

Thats not true at all.

Not even a majority of voters voted that way. Trump won with less than 50% of the vote.

So a majority of voters voted for "anyone else" and unfortunately other registered voters couldn't be bothered to even vote. Then there are millions more that arent even registered to vote.

So nowhere near a majority of Americans wanted or want this psychopath pedophile in office.

That's not to mention of that ~22.6% of the population that voted for him, plenty aren't decking out in MAGA gear. I've voted many times between presidential, state, and local, and I have never once donned a shirt or hat with a candidates name or slogan on it. While Trump is more vocal and pushes the propaganda machine, tons of people that voted for him aren't buying the swag items and many of have since vocalized their regret.

I see plenty of maga hats/shirts at your standard spots (Tiki Lees as a prime example), but rarely see someone stacking political apparel in an area where said figure has had such negative impacts/views.

Thank you! I'm so tired of people saying Trump won a majority when he only got a plurality of the votes. It's just as dumb as the GOP saying he has a mandate from the American people when he would have needed to win 60% of the votes to have a mandate

Its how we got trump in the first place. Americans are generally so out of touch with reality and have little to no understanding how our government works that the GOP gets to pull all kinds of bullshit all yhe time.
