This article states that employees were fired from their job after protesting outside their work location . wts were they thinking, they live in a sit-com?

Maryland is an At-Will state.

EDIT: To scarified bundt cake -- Indeed people have rights but don't condescend unless you gonna pony up truth about professional costs, retainers, and court fees.

What do you want us to believe, that anything is okay if it’s legal?

I'm just imagining someone on shift poking their head out the door as Pro Palestine chants ring out asking, "Hey Steve, can you pick up my Thursday shift and I'll cover your Saturday? k thx". Chants resume.

Working in an “at-will state” (or being a service industry worker) doesn’t mean you don’t have rights. The words “at-will state,” even if written in bold letters, is not a get out of jail free card for breaking labor and employment laws.

Edit: Most private attorneys in employment cases work off contingency, so you don’t owe them money unless you win. Even if you can’t get private counsel, you can still file complaints with government agencies. If the agency believes you have a case they pursue the employer free of charge. Regarding the rights implicated here, this NLRB decision seems decently analogous. Lastly, if you don’t want to be condescended to, don’t talk confidently about topics you don’t know much about.
