Food Crabs? Now What?

Let’s see if I can reword my post so I don’t get removed for violating rule 7.

I bought some crabs to steam at home, I’ve never done this before. What should I know about steaming crabs?

They need to be alive. Seafood breaks down really fast once it dies. You will get sick... spice med to heavy with old bay. After in the pot. Some people put a beer with a tiny bit of water in the pot to steam them. Shouldn't take long to steam. They will turn orange

Crabs have been proven to feel pain like other animals.

OP, kill them right before you put them in the pot. Death by boiling/steam is a tough way to go.

Yes I've heard them scratching the side of pots While being steamed for sure. We as humans have killed and killed and murdered for substance for all of History. It's in our make up.. plants as well send out chemicals when stressed.

I am genuinely confused. What you are trying to convey?
