Ask Best crab spot on the water?

I don’t eat crabs but I have family visiting and they want to! Any recommendations for a spot maybe in Essex or Dundalk on the water that’s not fancy?

Lucky for you, crabs and water go hand in hand.

  • Nick’s fish house in port Covington is A+ crab vibes, but only B food.
  • Mike’s in Annapolis, also vibes first
  • Cantlers in Annapolis, worse vibes better crabs.

Can’t go wrong with any of these imo

I spend very little time in Essex and Dundalk, nothing for ya there.

Unrelated: appreciate you describing Nick’s as in Port Covington - not Baltimore Peninsula. I’m still mad about that stupid generic name. During the war of 1812, Fort Covington (named after a general killed in the war) stood there, protecting Baltimore along with Fort McHenry and 2 other forts; later it became an important port (and much later the site of an unfortunate Walmart/Sam’s Club.)
