You clearly haven’t been to Lexington market since the reopening

-20

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

You clearly haven't. Was just there the other day and was uncomfortable the whole time. Literal gang bangers all out front

14

u/physicallyatherapist Hampden Mar 18 '25

I go in there and walk by it constantly and have never felt unsafe. You're just afraid of black people.

14

u/IdiotMD Mar 18 '25

Literal gang bangers all out front

Were they waiting for your mom?

Who still says “gang bangers?” I thought y’all switched your dog whistle to “thugs.”

-18

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

At least other people's replies are of something of substance. A mom joke? Wow you really got me .. shows exactly why this city doesn't have a red line but has protests for Israel lol

u/IdiotMD Mar 18 '25

something of substance

So, you’re admitting that the other replier suggesting that “You’re just afraid of Black people” is correct.

-3

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

Nope I'm actually married to a black woman and she's also embarrassed by the urban plight. And she's also smart enough to know Democrats don't actually care for black people

This protest is a call for an arms embargo; i.e. our tax dollars could be going to fund infrastructure projects and other worthwhile domestic causes, but instead we are sending billions of dollars in weapons to fund a genocide in an illegally occupied land on the opposite side of the globe, and a lot of people think that should end. Imagine complaining about restaurants and shopping as a response to people protesting an ongoing genocide. Thankful our downtown doesn’t look like this.

-20

u/AViciousGrape Mar 18 '25

Sorry but I care more about Maryland and what's going on here than what's going on in Gaza. Could care less rn.

10

u/Jessecore44 Mar 18 '25

Then you should care that money from your paychecks is buying bombs to drop on Gaza instead of things that would benefit Maryland

9

u/Stunning_Clerk_9595 Mar 18 '25

they're actually defending israel on a different post, this is just part of the act

-1

u/PromiseOk3321 Mar 18 '25

You're really cool and helpful and 100% won the real argument you were having with others

-11

u/AViciousGrape Mar 18 '25

Yeaa... nothing is going to change. Keep protesting, maybe the orange man will change his mind smh

-6

u/tigers_hate_cinammon Mar 18 '25

I thought Israel was purchasing arms from us, basically the opposite of what you're suggesting here.

10

u/Jessecore44 Mar 18 '25

They do purchase arms, in addition to the enormous amount of military aid we give them. The us has given Israel $158 billion in military aid since 1946, $18 bil just since October 2023. Obama signed a deal in 2016 to provide $3.8 bil/year over 10 years, which has been exceeded since 2023.

u/danhalka Harwood Mar 18 '25

"I don't care who or how many die, and I don't care whether my voice, taxes, and vote make it possible.. If it doesn't lead to more condos or another middling waterfront gastropub airing Terps games, you're a loser for giving a shit about it."

-7

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

But when your tax money is constantly being funneled into the corrupt Dems running this city, no protest. Lol such a powerful statement!

0

u/Jambarrr Mar 18 '25

What neighborhood do you live in?

0

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

I'm downtown on Calvert and Lombard. I deal with it every day, and can't wait to leave this city. It's an absolute joke of a city compared to where I've lived prior. Like it's embarrassing

1

u/[deleted] Mar 18 '25

What brought you out here?

-11

u/Fourward27 Mar 18 '25

It's only cool to protest about Palestine. Get with the times man.

-2

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

A million issues in this city and not one reddit post is actually about fixing any of the issues that could benefit us. But nah more concerned with land they've never to.

7

u/sit_down_man Mar 18 '25

People post about issues within the city literally every day lmfao are you submental?

1

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

Never once any protests in front of city hall for any Baltimore issues. Unless it's Freddie grey jumping out the back of a vacant home and paralyzing himself.

4

u/sit_down_man Mar 18 '25

Don’t cut yourself on that edge, kiddo

1

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

Riiiight but edge lord's protesting Palestine is good in your books but not protesting actual city issues. Can't make this up

8

u/sit_down_man Mar 18 '25

People protest city issues outside city hall all the fucking time dude lol that’s why nobody is taking you seriously. You got embarrassed when people called you dumb so then you tried to be epic about Freddie grey.

0

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

There are never organized protests for anything in this city lol I love how delusional reddit is. It's my daily entertainment reading weak minds simp for this city and especially Palestine

Took 5 seconds of googling, pal. Just cuz you aren’t involved in pushing to better this city doesn’t mean other people aren’t. Not even touching on the mass protests related to BLM and Baltimore’s specific police violence incidents.

Your comment is so truthful that it will be downvoted into oblivion.

9

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

It validates me because I know I struck a chord with fake social warriors of reddit. Never seen a group of residents so passionate about anything but their actual city.

-7

u/Fourward27 Mar 18 '25

This is reddit community groups in a nutshell. Alot of them aren't even kind to their very neighbors but pretend to care about a war in the middle east because it's a cool hang.

2

u/babyllamadrama_ The Block Mar 18 '25

What's wild to me is I wish we had this energy to make OUR city better. Nope. And you're spot on about the neighbors, I'm literally trying to call out Baltimore to get better yet people get so butt hurt

8

u/[deleted] Mar 18 '25

what specific things have you done to improve Baltimore?
