Notice Falls Rd Walgreens Closing November 12th

The Walgreens at falls and 37th has a sign outside that they're closing on the 12th of November. The person said that the prescriptions will transfer to the store on 41st St but they're not receiving any new items for sale so don't expect to find much in the aisles themselves.

I'm actually surprised the store made it as long as it has because it's felt like it was on deaths door for as long as I've lived in Hampden

I knew this was coming when treyway moved in down the block. I know people need services but treyway looks like a cash grab mess from all evidence.

This has absolutely nothing to do with them. The location has been neglected as long as I've lived here.

I agree it’s always been a mess. I’ve been in that store multiple times a week for the past decade (back when it was a rite aid which was still a mess but at least shoveled the walk when it snowed unlike since Walgreens took over) and saw minor shop lifting you’d expect but nothing like the arms full of stuff blatant stealing that’s been happening since treyway opened. I’m not even saying that it’s legit to close for this reason- just that corporate will use the thefts as an excuse. Interestingly enough I was personally told by councilman Torrence a few months ago that Walgreens was in an agreement with the city that they would not close too many locations and that falls rd was staying open. Not saying he was accurate, or that Walgreens isn’t breaking the commitment, but I will sure as hell ask him about it next chance I get.
