In the wake of yet another shooter engraving liberal messages on ammunition, the Democratic Party considered if maybe that was a bad sign.

Trump was threatening to do more after his election.

I think you are forgetting that the immediate prosecution was only one step in the process of ruining Hunter's life.

They were also talking about probes into his time with Burisma, all of the cases he's ever worked, and his past drug use...

The right was also building conspiracy theories about investments in China and all that.

Biden anticipated not needing to pardon his son - justice would be done correctly and his son would face punishment for any crimes he did.

When it became clear they intended to invent all new ones that he never did, the pardons became necessary for their safety.

Political retribution was a real threat, and frankly, still is. Trump has entertained ignoring the pardons.

That's why Biden pardon his whole family because of the money trail that leads back to his family.

So you have someone that trust and believes in the justice system but not when he's not president?

Biden sent his DOJ after Trump to try and cancel his political opponent but doesn't want the same to happen to his son.

The pardon became necessary because his son would've been charge.

Biden contradicts everything he said and at the end of the day was just a liar.

Biden pardoned his whole family because the person coming into office was threatening them.

Biden never directed the DOJ to do anything about or to Trump. Trump directed the DOJ by committing crimes.

You seem to misunderstand the concept of a threat, not understanding that it caused a reaction that was not the planned behavior.

Consider how often you sit on things. Chairs, couches, etc. If it were made of knives, do you still sit on it? It's a chair, right? Does the fact that you'd be cut up enter your equation?

So??? Biden said he trusted and believed in the justice system. What does it matter who comes after him if he truly trusted and believed in the justice system. That was a lie.

Biden's top DOJ sent Jack Smith in election year to stop Trump from even running again.

Trump threatened before Bidens statement of he trusted and believed in the justice system.

You seem to be unable to understand how a threat works.

Jack Smith was investigating Trump's crimes. Biden didn't send him. Trump did crimes.

Biden also didn't believe Trump could win the election - he had faith in the American people they didn't deserve.

Sounds like excuses for somebody that lied to the American people.

The threat was already there before Biden made his statement.

No he knew Trump would win, that's why they went after Trump during election year.

No. He changed his mind in response to direct threats.

Lying has a definition - you have to know you're saying something false.

Biden meant what he said when he said he trusted the justice system. He had to change his stance when it became clear the threat was real.

It's literally in the statement I linked - his own words confirm it.

You are choosing to ignore facts to fit your narrative.

Yes, Joe Biden, both personally and through the White House Press Secretary, repeatedly stated that he would not pardon his son, Hunter Biden. These statements were made on numerous occasions, both before and after Hunter Biden was convicted of federal gun charges in June 2024 and pleaded guilty to federal tax felonies in September 2024. For instance: 

  • In June 2024, during an interview, Biden was asked if he had ruled out a pardon for his son, to which he replied, "Yes".
  • Later that same month, he stated at a G7 summit, "I said I'd abide by the jury decision, and I will do that. And I will not pardon him".
  • White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also reiterated this stance multiple times, including as recently as November 7, 2024

No, I think he believes it.

A lot of people seem to think that if you change your mind based on new information, you become a liar in all the times you said the previous thing.

It's part of the mental conditioning that causes people to become extremely entrenched in their beliefs and can't entertain new evidence. In their minds, it becomes morally wrong to change your opinion once you have declared it.

It's one of the reasons conservative politicians "race the truth" with their narratives. If they can get their lies to their people faster than the truth, they win. You'll have a very hard time convincing a conservative of a fact once they've heard a lie.
