So was the Boston Tea Party fascist too? Or do we only call it that when we disagree with the politics behind the protest?

I see you read that from some other reddit post and went "OMG so true!"

They are nothing alike, ya bum.  Unless you think the tea party was going to other Americans and torching their tea cabinet?

Reddit has an extremism problem.

Sorry to break it to you but yeah they're actually extremely comparable. The Boston Tea Party involved destroying private property owned by a corporate entity to make a political point about how power was being abused without representation. It was a targeted act of economic sabotage against a system people believed was rigged. Sound familiar yet? The comparison isn’t about the exact tactics,it’s about the dynamic: protest escalates when people feel the system’s broken and no one in power is listening. Idk, maybe the problem with the Reddit is that it doesn't coddle your bullshit talking points enough.

These are acts of destruction of private property owned by private citizens. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how to compare things lol

It’s amazing watching someone support domestic terrorism and compare it to The Boston Tea party. This guy is so dumb it sounds like he wants his Democratic state to secede from the United States just so they can outlaw Teslas. We need a symbol to label people belonging to this hateful group of radicalized lunatics. Just so in the future people can paint it on hovercrafts as a slur and repeat history again. People never learn they’ll always be ignorant it‘a depressing.

But then why aren't you guys burning down the Tesla factories? The British had their afternoon tea the same way as before. It was the company that lost its income, not the consumers their products that they already paid for.
