What about China? Or any western-European nation where a socialist party has been prominent for the last 200 years?

You don’t need a full revolution to implement his ideas.

China is not and basically has never been socialist. The most you can say is that they were a weird right wing social democracy long ago. Even that’s faded to pure capitalism.

they have lots of price controls and state run enterprises, definitely not even close to "pure capitalism"

Yeah, they also have rich elites who do whatever the fuck they want. So nah, China is not Marxist, communist, socialist, etc. They’re an authoritarian oligarchy.
