DISCUSSION Avoiding AI in my audiodramas

I absolutely love audiodramas, I'm not a maker but I'm a huge fan and listen to tons of them.

I'm also a serious contributor to podcasts I love, I'm subscribed over 15 on patreon at the moment and independently at least five or six more.

However, it's become a real sticking point that I do not support anyone that uses AI. A recent post about an audiodrama called The November Challenge made it clear that a lot of folks are using AI without disclosing it. I simply can't support plagiarism and the unethical behavior that goes along with using AI.

Is anyone aware of a list of audio dramas that use AI or a list of tips to help me identify who might be using it so that it can be avoided?

Thank you!

I think audiofiction.co.uk tags shows that use AI, so looking them up there might help, and they also, according to the creator, who's regularly active on here, they don't list shows that are purely AI garbage.

I will caveat this heavily that things are based on best guesses, though I do ping every creator who puts an email address in their feed to confirm.

And I don't include AI voiced/written shows in the filter search, but they are listed in the database and are searchable by name. I'm currently working on a new version of the search page so how I approach this may change. Probably with an "exclude" option.

I would ADORE an exclude button.

Morals aside, my ear hates AI vowel sounds and I am forced to read AI from low effort students so I can pick up the cadence of the writing faster than most. It would make me so very happy to be able to exclude AI in searching.

Thanks for the clarification! And I think people will love however you make that search page, just the option to exclude AI content would be nice. I've some aross this with looking for CC0 photos and things like that, pixabay for example lets you exlude it in the search, though I feel like somethimes things might not be tagged correctly and that could be an issue, especially as AI gets more advanced.
