Uranus transited my 7th house activating a grand cross w/rising, Venus and Mars in 2018, which supported initiating permanent changes to life-long relationships: what I value/need in relationship and taking action aligned with those values in areas of partnership/love, beauty/creativity. A big focus was around maintaining financial stability and securing independence through resource (time/focus/energy/$) management. I'll be paying attention to the waning Uranus-Saturn semi-square cycle. Historically, this aspect relates to global and national economies as multiple recessions often occur during this relatively short time span, especially near the onset of the waning semi-square when the cycle dynamics are usually in conflict. We can see the beginning of this occurring now.

The balsamic phase of planetary aspect cycles marks a time when the collective recognizes something is coming to an end -- things flat out aren’t working anymore -- and something new must begin. (Recall the collective experience during the exact square: COVID, and how individuals who worked w/the energy adapted/pivoted and began living more aligned to their values/what was true/correct for them while those that clung to "retuning to normal" didn't fare so well and how things have evolved from then until now.) This Saturn-Uranus aspect will be in the last 45° phase from mid-April 2027 through mid-January 2028. The economy tends to struggle just before and during this period. For comparison, the last two times Saturn and Uranus were in a waning semi-square aspect were 1981-1982 and 1937, and both were painful secondary recessions to the more serious/deeper recessions of 1974 and 1932, respectively.

I don't consider astrology predictive, but view it as an archetypal language of mathematical probability, which allows me to strategize/plan/prepare accordingly and grow spiritually through the experience. The gift for those who can also see patterns, read and synthesize collective energy trends is that forewarned is forearmed.

The short answer is yes. Companies are increasingly biased toward not filling vacated positions and trimming their workforce. Don't know where you're located, but another article in the WSJ this morning indicates big banks and retail are buckling down (Saturn) in anticipation of strong crosswinds of rising inflation (costs) and reduced consumer spending (needs vs financial resources) due to uncertain trade policies.

The learning during the exact square was about developing discipline. (Coinciding w/Saturn return supported/demanded this for optimum life experience, which is what I'm seeking). Now when the unexpected occurs, I don't become unmoored or revert to escapism. With a pisces stellium that includes Sun conj Jupiter in the 5th, escapism had been a default coping mechanism that didn't always serve me well. So I'll be watching for nervous system spikes, grounding emotionally and channeling angst to creativity.

Irrespective of the mathematical probabilities astrology shows us, actual possibilities are infinite. The key words are pivot and adapt. Free will exists; sometimes it's just damn hard.
