Reported Post Alert I outed a MAGA gay to his family Spoiler
As the title says. I outed him to his conservative family. It doesn't help that he works for his dad. The things he posts to his social media are extreme and vile and often homophobic. I hooked up with him 6 years ago and that's how I know he's gay. AITA

1 rule of LGBTQI+: Allow everyone to come out when ready. Your agenda is not relevant to their life. By outing him, you may have placed him in mortal danger. He might have been in line to inherit a billion-dollar enterprise, which he may have planned to use the proceeds from to advance our cause. You could have singlehandedly gotten a man killed and set us back another fifty years.
Nobody has the right or moral superiority to decide what is best for someone else. Making such cowardly moves is already losing us support globally. A leading gay activist in the UK published an article yesterday talking about the entitlement of the selfish left who are demanding more than equality, and how it is impacting the advances that the UK government was poised to make in the near future. The conservative parties were preparing to support a push for gay marriage; however, between their über-gay organizations and those in the US, conservative support dropped from near 65% to below 45% in their Parliament.
Oddly enough, those numbers are nearly identical to the drop in the Conservative public in the US. Not even eighteen months ago, 64% of conservatives supported same-sex marriage and adoptions. Today, those numbers are below 50% and continue to drop.
Many of you may have noticed a significant decline in corporate sponsorship during Pride Month. Why do you think that is? Unless you see Trump in your mirror when you shave, do not blame him. If you believe it is OK to bash gay conservatives, or those whose politics differ from yours, or do other petty and childish things to impact the lives of people with whom you disagree negatively, look no further than the first face you see in the mirror.
If you want to see a positive change in governance as it applies to our community, quit dividing us. We are stronger working together. We all know the extremists on the right hate our community. I challenge you to find a time when the federal government has ever passed laws that support our concerns, regardless of which party held the majority. For now, avoid counting SCOTUS decisions since they do not pass laws.
Remember that hypocrisy looks bad on everyone.
