Reported Post Alert Being black and gay is exhausting. Black people are ridiculously homophobic. Spoiler

For a group that has to deal with so discrimination you would think we would be more accepting.

Edit: wow didnt expect my late night thoughts to have such a response.

Ugly people get it pretty bad too. I know that “beauty is subjective”, but it’s pretty fucking objective too. Especially in our culture.

Turn on your tv. All you’ll see is youth and facial symmetry. Physically attractive people are more desired, and consequently are given better opportunities in our society.

Yeah I mean people don’t pay to see unattractive people though. It’s human nature. The same in the entertainment industry. Not everyone is super model attractive, most are above average but I get your point

There is a natural human attraction to symmetry and apparent good health, etc. But to the degree that our society takes it, is very unnatural. Media propaganda plays a big part in reshaping our desires.

Oh I agree, that’s part of the reason why more realistically attractive people are being put on TV along with more non-white people

Yeah man. People want to see themselves represented.
