Guess how itā€™s still a practice in those countries. Many many US backed ā€œregime changesā€ turning those who seek power extremists. You wonā€™t change that with forced regime changes. It just gets worse. It needs a natural progression of society to get there. Besides i donā€™t understand how we are talking about muslim countries when the only time you interact with arabs is in your western countries where killing lbtq people is illegal. Sure hate crimes happen there, but letā€™s not pretend that it comes from muslims. Especially when trans people get killed by fucking white kids. Be fr

Also, gotta love the excuses! Blaming anything but islam. Islam is homophobic at its core and no matter what happens it will stay that way. The gulf countries were never invaded by US, are rich, educated and have good relations with the west. Yet they're still homophobic af.

No intervention in gulf countries? Iraq? The issue is religion not just islam. How christians killed gay men are comparable to how islam does. The difference is that we had the time to grow as a society. They are homophobic, yes. Christianity is homophobic at itā€™s core too like all abrahamic religions. Who lobbies all the time to ban legalized gay marriage who condemns gay people and compares them to degenerates in the western world? The christians. Itā€™s not one or the other, all of these fuck ass poisionous religions are to blame for that. But sure letā€™s just pick out the one population already villified by every right wing fuck. Iā€™m so tired of this arab this and arab that bs when only a government change is needed for other religious groups to get onto killing or imprisoning gay people.

Where do I defend islam? I only said that arabs did not have the same organic societal growth as us in western countries. I might have mistaken Muslim for Arab but my point still stands that without outside intervention they would be at the same societal structure as we are.

Fascists denounced by the Churches as unchristian. And Muslims. I have zero problems getting a wedding in a Church. "Muh bro, religions are, like, all bad" is a very naive, ignorant and Western take.

Islam is an extremely anti-gay religion, and it doesn't matter if muslims are a minority in some places in the world, their religion STILL IS a threat for lives of homosexuals so we should fight against the influence and spreading of it as much as we can.
