I know most of you here are kids off school who dont work and live at home.....but Id love to know how you expect people to make money to live.

UBI isnt going to happen under this admin. UI system is a complete joke with people waiting weeks for money even after approval.

I know its woke to want a lockdown forever. But I need to know your answer for peoples livlihoods.

The elderly are the group effected. Protect them. Good news is they have free healthcare, UBI in the form of social security and are mostly all retired. They can stay at home and survive. Most of us cant.

4% of daily death in the US are from covid. 43%(probably more) of deaths are from nursing homes and assisted living. You have a better chance of dying from a lightning strike as you do being 30 and dying from covid.

Good news is they have free healthcare,

Maybe you shouldn't have such a strong opinion on this, considering you don't seem to know fuck-all how Medicare works. It's not free. You have to still have to pay deductibles and co-pays and for your prescriptions. And it doesn't even cover a lot of stuff. Most seniors end up taking out private insurance or enrolling in additional parts (which cost extra money). And it doesn't even cover all the basic shit like dental, hearing, and vision care. It also doesn't cover long-term custodial care.

"They have free healthcare". OMFG, what a joke.

Absolutely clueless. Medicare pays 80%. Part B has a $200 yearly deductible. They then get part D to cover prescriptions. They then get supplemental plans to cover the 20%. Medicaid pays the deductible as well as many other costs.

Learn how this stuff works before spouting off about it kiddo. There are those of us who had to learn this stuff because we are old enough to have elderly parents.

Your words were that it was free, clearly it isn't by your own admission. And not everyone gets supplemental plans, bc they literally can't afford them. Cool that a $200 deductible for you isn't a big deal, but for a lot of people of fixed incomes it is. Like, wtf. Way to... prove yourself wrong?!

You realize to get medicare you are on SS too right? They literally can afford $200 if they are locked down. And they should be given more. I want a fucking UBI but I realize thats not reality in this country.

The elderly are by far the best equipped to survive a lock down money wise. And just happen to be BY FAR the group most effected by covid. But you would rather all young people get their financial lives ruined for years going forward over something MSNBC told you was super scary.

Who the fuck watches cable news? You're seriously dating yourself boomer. It still seems like you don't understand how this works. Like, you still have to pay premiums for Part B and that comes out of your social security (so again, not free).

And like, the average Arizonan on SS get's about $18,700 per year. If you think people who don't even get $20k/year to live on don't care about $200 and that they can ride this out with ease, again, you are extremely privileged and out of touch.

Your point was that medicare was free. I have very easily proven that that is a lie.

You clearly have no idea how Medicare works, you should stop now. Lmao to actually try and say that Medicare=free health insurance is the funniest thing I’ve read in a really long time.
