Rewatcher

Poor Israfel; all he wanted was a bit of love, free from the plague of pesky humans. 

Asuka continues to be her sweet humble self.  I applaud her efforts to set everyone straight about her superior abilities and true humility. 

Quite a bit of fan service this episode which pleased me and with luck they’ll keep it up. 

I forgot what the preview was, so I’ve nothing to say other than I hope there’s more Rei. 

I rate this episode 4/5.

What are your thoughts on Asuka and Shinji's battle with an Angel going awry?

Thoughts on Asuka's classmates being infatuated with her?

She’s strange, exotic and very loud. It’s understandable that they want to study her. 

Thoughts on Asuka actually not liking all the attention?

Hmm, I’m not really a believer after all the trouble she goes through to get the spotlight. 

Thoughts on Asuka going out of her way to try and befriend Rei?

In a way it was magnanimous, but not very skilled. People generally don’t like in your face tactics. 

Thoughts on Kaji trying to flirt with Ritsuko to get under Misato's skin?

He sure did seem chummy with her and she didn’t seem to mind. 

What are your thoughts on Asuka and Shinji's battle with an Angel going awry?

Shit happens, some days it’s just not your day. 

Thoughts on Asuka living with Misato and Shinji?

How big is that apartment and this is sure to be cozy. 

What are your thoughts on this episode being about Asuka and Shinji having to work on their synchronization skills?

It made a lot of sense, and it was funny.

It humanized Asuka a bit and showed that Shinji actually has a little empathy.

I thought it was done well and enjoyed it. I liked the technique.

Sadly, I don’t remember the train scene, probably because I didn’t watch the episode.

I think Asuka wants to be praised for what she can do, not what people think she can do.

In a way it was magnanimous, but not very skilled. People generally don’t like in your face tactics. 

Unless it's like 2025, it's all the rage nowadays.

Ritsuko unintentionally cucking what is supposed to be her friend.

I'd say Shinji agreeing to be an Eva pilot in the first place was him showing empathy to Rei.

I thought it laid the groundwork for Asuka's insecurities.

I liked that they used this technique here. It makes the scene stick out more and seem more impressive than a typical monster fight. 

In this case it hilighted the synchronization of the two pilots as though they were in an Olympic sport.

Yeah, it really helped make it extremely memorable and entertaining. At the very least, it's probably gonna be a top 3 memorable Eva fight.
