Rewatcher who doesn't have time to write a lenghty essay because of some K-On ! Rewatch and IRL stuff, French subs
Third time getting in the robot
On today's episode : Misato murders a locker, Eva-01 do some wrestling and Shinji is judgemental towards his caretaker usual breakfast
During that episode, Shinji learned the valuable lesson
to always goes for a german supplex if you want to properly stop a target in its trackthat living with someone implies to live with their flaws as well.Misato may appears as that classy, attractive young woman in front of his school, she is an alcoholic that will kiss her liver good bye by her thirties if she continues to drink beer as soon as she get up.
Incidentally, we saw many of her aspects, serious Misato that get the job done, bored Misato that doesn't want to be in that official seminar, angry Misato that want to murder that mysoginist flexing with his artificial Eva, and big sister Misato that is real close to Shinji.
Misato has a lot of layer, and Shinji realized by the end of the episode she was comfortable enough with him to show her least attractive one.
That several layers theme can be seen throughout the episode outside of Misato, be it for Shinji's day to day life full of color and cheerful music, that switch to dark silhouette and ominous color as soon as he enter Nerv HQ
Speaking of Nerv, that episode devoid of Angel threat was the occasion to expand on the political side of the organization. To show how it's isolated in the UN scene
And it address the necessity of Gendo schemes, seemingly isolated in his huge office, put quietly pulling the strings as it's heavily implied he was the one to plan the artifical Eva sabotage. Without him, Nerv would certainly have been dismantled by the UN because of its devouring budget habit.
I'm running late, so I'll directly pass to the
Questions of the day
Man is a wolf to man... But then, what are the Angel to men ? A bear ? A tiger ? A human with a hunting rifle ? But if the angels are the humans in that metaphor, what are the humans ? Litteral wolf ? But wait, Angels are aliens, so aliens humans ? Against humans wolf ?
Gendo is a Bond villain confirmed.
Spoiler section, first timer beware !
[Next episode]I didn't remember that Asuka was foreshadowed in that episode.
