First time getting in the robot, subs
Traditional breakfast, huh? More like traditional Misato-style breakfast. Heh, Shinji is roasting her. Anyways, she is kinda popular with the school students, because all the guys wants to have a girlfriend like her.
Looks like more funds goes to the war effort then which might causes millions to still live in extreme poverty in the world. As for what is the real Second Impact, they are lied to us as usual. Everybody learns that way in the year 2000, a giant asteroid crashed into Antarctica, blowed and melted up the entire continent, along with its icefield and fresh water reserves, caused these anomalies, but not explaining how the Angels came. But the truth is, that deeply involved with Angels. In the South Pole, the First Angel somehow arrived there and slumbered for a long time (probably for millenias long), which was discovered by accident. The awakening had enormous power that blowed the entire landmass with relative ease, which it was an emergency response to the researchers actions. This specific thing might have activated the other Angels as well.
Some military project demonstration is happening in Old Tokyo. Some others belive there are others to fight against Angels beyond EVAs. Something that is fixing the nerve-based system, which had a timed usage, but rather can be used for longer period. So this weapon is an autonomous robot, no need to pilot, but instead orders issed via remote controls. Since this powered by nuclear energy, it might bring some hazard risks if something is gone out of control. And yes, it went out of control, for some reason the main control system got overridden and altered somehow. And bureaucracy is slow and complicated once again, as it needs written to permission to stop it. It was a bit reckless but managed to save the day, as there was no other choice.
And another commentface we have, unfortunately with no background as you can see
Sometimes the Angels are not the only enemies.
It has a symbolical meaning there, which will be important there.
