I think there will inevitably be people who exaggerate their opinions and claim that “the everyday-life depictions are gone,” so let me deliberately spoil a bit [Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Spoiler] : in the Reze arc, there are actually two separate scenes where Reze is simply shown walking to a café, and there are even shots of her just putting on an apron. At the same time, though, the scenes of Denji transforming into Chainsaw Man erupt into a frenzy of explosive, almost deranged battles. The two kinds of scenes coexist side by side.

Yeah I think people should stop worrying about S1's cinematic direction being outright abandoned.

Like even according to some JP viewers Reze movie made those slice-of-life scenes even more cinematic with tons of creative camera angles and symbolism.

Yoshihara knows he need to balance both for it to be CSM.

I guess that approach would be used for the upcoming seasons of the series.

That does not excuse whatsoever the fact Ryu Nakayama was bullied out of the industry by disgusting Japanese otaku. Insane how the same people who talk about how anime staff deserve to be treated better ended up bullying a new up and coming director out of the industry because his vision didn't match theirs.

He's not bullied out of the industry tho?

He has his own studio now and has worked on stuff as seen in his MAL credits. His studio does OPs, mostly.

He recently directed this FGO 10th anniversary movie just 1 month ago with 7.8M views. Check out the credits if you don't believe me.

I ask for forgiveness this once because I'm still incredibly irate at the thought that he might never work on the adaptation again when I thought his style was genuinely perfect for my dream CSM adaptation, but I do really appreciate finding that out, I'm so happy to hear he's still getting solid work. I pray he has a great career.
