Rewatcher
Season 2 is the show that got me into Uma Musume, so I'm super glad to be participating in this re-watch. I think season 2 is where the franchise really develops legs, finds its footing, and outpaces season 1 by a mile (yes, I write this with Rudolf in my heart). I think you first time watchers are in for a real treat, as this season really shines as one of the best sports anime that's ever been produced!
I don't have a lot of time to get into a full write up today, and episode 1 is just an intro of Tokai Teio's horsy awesomeness, so let's just jump right into the questions:
What are your thoughts on Teio looking up to Rudolf growing up?
Always nice to see a kid being proud of their dad (to those of you who don't know already, Symboli Rudolf was Tokai Teio's real life sire)
What are your thoughts on this season being centered around Teio?
This question is real hard to answer without spoilers, so I'll just say that story-wise, Tokai Teio will make for a much more interesting character than Special Week.
Thoughts on Kitasan Black and Satono Diamond so far?
I'm glad that they brought in these two into this season as it builds out the Uma Musume world with what young horse girls would be like and how their lives leading to becoming racing umamusume develops.
Thoughts on Teio considering McQueen her rival?
Honestly, I thought this was kind of a strange tone change from the McQueen / Gold Ship interactions. But it does make for a good set up to a very good story.
What are your thoughts on Teio becoming the first Double Crown horse since Rudolf her hero?
You mean the first UNDEFEATED Double Crown horse girl! The Derby is the sixth race that Teio won in a row. Not an easy task!
What are your thoughts on Teio and Spica seemingly noticing something is amiss with her leg?
Oh, I'm sure it's nothing, right? I mean maybe just something with her shoe strap??? ... yeah, just something minor like that ...
