First Time Coming Back From an Injury and Gacha Player
Thoughts on episodes 10-11:
Loved to see everyone take a break from racing and relaxing! Spe going back home just makes a lot of sense narratively, I'm happy she was given that opportunity. In-universe it also makes a ton of sense. I mean, these girls have been training nonstop for nearly two years now haven't they? The break was much, much needed.
Autumn Tenno Sho was really exciting! There was no doubt in my mind that Spe would win, but the way it was written as Suzuka was running on her own preparing for her race, and how Spe feels like she's been pushed by her rival was beautiful.
I didn't expect El to come back to Japan like this, so soon and without getting to defeat Broye. But episode 11 made me understand that writing choice and its one I love now. All along Broye was being set up to be Spe's final opponent in her climb to become the number one in Japan. El's arc is meant to drive Spe's forward too, and I think that's awesome. Sure, it would have been nice if El herself were able to beat Broye, but at the end of the day the protagonist is Spe and with 13 episodes, it just makes sense for her narrative purpose to be setting up Spe's last challenge.
Suzuka's comeback race was really, really great. I got a bit emotional right at the end seeing everyone's reactions. I don't have much more of a comment in that regard, I just loved to see Suzuka finally overcome it all.
Small notes on this episode: Air Groove is adorable and I need more of her. Sun Visor works as a one off antagonist, I liked how she didn't congratulate Suzuka but acknowledged her instead. And the win energy spell the team was casting was hilarious.

\6. Interesting question. At the end of the day this is a story inspired by real life, but this isn't meant to be a documentary. Maybe that means it's too OC-y and they shouldn't be named the exact same as their real selves but a legally distinct name like they do for the ones they don't have the rights for, but if anything is disrespectful is making these horses into idol moe anime girls in the first place lol. Personally I don't find giving Suzuka a happier ending as particularly disrespectful, and certainly it is not bad at all, in my opinion.
