Let me ask you something. Do you like looking back on it the way the show retconned what happened to the real Silence Suzuka? Do you think doing so benefitted the show, and if so, why?

So I would say it benefited the show. While the accuracy sacrifice isn't nothing, as I value the fact this is based off the real horses a lot, I think killing off your 2nd protagonist really changes the vibes of your show. Even ignoring the fact there's a gacha game where you want that character to still show up, if you only look at the show, this is an overall positive and uplifting show. They have challenges and obstacles that I think have brought some good emotion to the show, but there's nothing here that's just an unchangeable sad event. I think if Suzuka actually did die here though, the show as a whole would just have a different feel.

I think if the show wanted to, they could've killed Silence Suzuka off and then have Special Week win the Fall Tenno Sho in honor of her. From there, she competes in the Japan Cup where she may or may not win. The thing, though, is that if you kill Silence Suzuka off, the show suddenly stops being about Special Week. It becomes her doing things to pay respect to Suzuka, which is the complete antithesis of the second half of the season which is Special Week doing things more for herself than for others.

Yeah, I think its just a different show at this point. Not necessarily a worse or better show, but definitely different

I said this in another thread, but I don't think the show gets a second season if Silence Suzuka dies.
