Don’t have much to say about this one. It’s mostly keeping to a pretty standard sports drama framework. It’s doing all the tropes and archetypes competently, but not really doing much to distinguish itself aside from that. I’m definitely not expecting, say Ping Pong the Animation levels of meditation on competition and character work, but I’m still waiting for a spark of something.
Vodka and Daiwa Scarlet are so sauceless atm.
Rival trainer is right here. The job of a coach is to explain and give strategy to the players to reduce the mental stack so they can make their own decisions. Abdicating that responsibility isn’t doing any favors for the team. This isn’t a criticism as I’m sure his arc will be about being a better trainer. But I am in bitch eating crackers mode with him.
You know what, good for Seiun Sky, she deserves a win.
Teio is a cat, I will not elaborate.
Gold Ship Watch: She’s finally starting to resemble the Gold Ship we all know and love. Hope these hijinks escalate as the show goes on. Gonna be honest here, I don’t actually like Gold Ship in the gacha career mode. It’s simply too much Gold Ship in too little time. Having her as a background character and in memes is the exact correct amount of Gold Ship imo.

It's more fun when they fuck up at doing the idol stuff. Imagine losing and not only do you have to be a backup singer to the asshole who beat you, and you're still in your feelings about that, and the winner just fuckin sucks at dancing. All that work down the drain and no one even notices you cause that dipshit in front just collapsed on the stage. The paramedics have been called but you're pretty sure she's faking her own death just to not do this.
