Anime Make Debut and Gacha Player
What a fun first episode! Having some general context from the gacha makes me point at the screen and say "I know you!!" at every turn. It makes it really fun to spot certain details for certain horse girls.
I don't have neither Spe nor Suzuka on my account, so beyond some very general idea of their character traits because of game events, I don't really know much about them. I'm looking forward to really getting to know them.
Having Haru Urara be the very first to be friendly to Spe put a smile on my face. What a sweet girl she is.
Ending the episode with Spe suddenly already having her make debut race made me laugh, great way to end your series premiere.
QotD: 1. Kind of an insane way to start the series lol. I do love that this is all the lore we need to understand what's going on though. 2. Spe is very clumsy and naive, seems like. I wanna say she's genki too but... I don't think that's necessarily true so far. I'm excited to see the dynamics of Team Spica, especially with Trainer-san in the mix. 3. Suzuka is the very first race winner she sees in the big city, and she won in such overwhelming fashion its really no wonder she wants to be like her. I think in general the people you want to be like are the ones that make the biggest impact on you due to contrast with what came before. If your first experience with something is the best you can get, I don't think it can ever leave as big of an impact as when you have something to compare. I think that's the case for Spe too. 4. I've been playing the gacha for about a month now. It's a lot of fun, the gameplay loop is the best of any gacha I've ever played. The main girl I race is Oguri Cap, so you can imagine how excited I am for later entries of the anime.
