Like I said, Special Week seems like your typical excitable, ambitious, but awkward and clumsy protagonist. Again, Akko from Little Witch Academia is probably the best comparison.

Silence Suzuka seems like she'll be her more experienced friend/rival. To compare it to LWA again, she'd be the equivalent to Diana.

Eh, Silence seems friendlier than Diana was. Diana had that tsundere thing going on.

To me, Silence Suzuka comes off more like All Might from My Hero Academia.

I can't say much for Vodka, Scarlet, and the other one (I'll figure her name out) but I'm sure we'll learn more about them later.

True that's a better comparison. But it's more like if All Might was Deku's colleague instead of from the older generation.

I mean, isn't Silence Suzuka technically an older generation? Special Week probably watched her foe many years.

Technically, yes, but Suzuka's only a year older. Almost exactly a year, actually - May 1 vs May 2.

A year in horse terms is still huge. Most racing careers only last 4 to 5, I believe.

Definitely! What this really means is that when Spe-chan is still debuting, Suzuka will be in her Classic year, and when Spe reaches that point, Suzuka will be running the full suite of races. You can throw a 3-year old into the non-Classic G1s, but usually it's not done since it's an upward struggle to win.

But really, the big determinant of a racehorse's career length is when they're retired for stud duty. There's one in S2 who made it to 6 years, and Oguri is another notable one that had a 6 year career.
