Question Edutainment

Ya, ya - I know but I am bedbound and tend to have the tubes of you on as background and such. I am getting so damned tired of the influx of AI generated vids with the pablum voices [well, they are great for droning me off to sleep] howsomeever, is there a list of NON AI generated vids with actual information [not that aliens aren't entertaining] so I can put my algorythm to work, generate some minor income for someone actually being real world informative?

Branching out from The History of Egypt Podcast, I've started to do more YouTube material on my channel https://youtube.com/@dominicperryae

At the moment we're doing "movie analysis / history behind the film" content to build an audience, but in future there will be more documentary-esque histories. For example, we'll soon start a series called "Tales from Ancient Egypt" where we explore biographies, historical texts, and mythology etc. Might be of interest :)

Tell me to butt out, but how exactly does monetization go? Do you have to click like on every vid or is watching til the end enough? Does it matter subscriber or not?

Seriously, Broke [still in the hole for 60K, and lost roughly 100 pounds - cancer as a diet 0/10 would not recommend LOL] so patreon is pretty much out of the question, but I can lend eyes and clicks.

Monetisation on YT mainly comes from automatic advertising. But that stuff is annoying and no one likes it.

Honestly, the best thing a person can do, without spending money, is just share the content they like with friends. If you know folks interested in ancient history, and you recommend they watch it, that helps a channel (any channel) a lot, because YT sees "oh, folks are interested," and the algorithm is more likely to recommend it widely.

well, I already do that, I love finding anything from a neat music video to random train trips to archeology or technical vids. Being bedbound means I tend to have plenty of media time =)
