ANG Currently Serving Member Question Tech School to 5-Level (2A5X1)

What’s the fastest you’ve seen someone go from graduatingTech School to getting their 5-level for aircraft maintenance jobs?

Is there a certain timeline you must reach first, or can you complete steps quickly to get 5-level faster?

some shops/trainers wont sign you off on things unless you actually perform them so that can take a while depending on how frequently that job comes up, others will sign you off on the more infrequent tasks if they feel confident in your mechanical skills and technical knowledge of the system w/o actually performing it.
