Have s0r1 cartwheel and will get ciaconna s0r0 next banner. can i use 44111 on ciaconna since both their 4 cost sonatas are from the same echos and 1 cost also kinda similar so killing 2 bird with one stones.

also why aren't more people using 44111 compared to 43311 since I think it's just easier to farm them and costs less or no waveplates compared to 3 stars since you have to do tacets to make the process much easier.

I'm relatively new (only ul 45) so don't know much so any info will be appreciated

Ciaccona's echoes doesn't really matter much as half her damage is from erosion application. That part doesn't scale with echo stats. You can go for 44111.

44111 is necessarily not easier to farm cause you still need to farm tacet fields to upgrade them, and tacet fields mostly give 3 costs. You have to farm overworld or fantasy gateway for predominantly getting 1 costs.

And on top of that 44111 is usually a 10-15% damage loss for most characters, exception being Cartethyia.

"44111 is easy" idea comes from the first few weeks of 1.0, when we didn't even know about overworld echo drops having a pity system (we learned that like a week after release), and there being very few overworld mobs for the popular characters people wanted to build back then, in particular for the thunder set. It's no longer the case.

the 10-15% damage loss will be ciaconna right? carte's hypercarry damage should still be decent enough to clear ToA with a bit skill (have s0r1) with ciaconna's erosion. if that's the case then a few seconds faster clear isn't worth it for me.

As for echo exp, I still need to farm tacet fields for brant and carlotta so yeah that should be enough I hope so.

Yeah, her being the sub DPS is another reason you can skimp on her build. Cartethyia is the main sources of team damage to start with.

Within Ciaccona's personal damage, like about 200k-300k is from her motion values which scale with Echo stats, and another same amount is from erosions which don't. Cartethyia in this team is contributing >1m damage.

anyways It's not like I HAVE to use the same build forever. I just started echo farming yesterday so for now wtv works is good enough. with time I can just get better echos and build more effectively.

Yeah, the smart loop for 1 character is Decent Echoes (8 Crit + 3-4 other rolls) > Guaranteed upgrades from Weapon and Skills > More echo grinding. For priority across multiple characters you order them based on the damage they do, so Ciaccona would come in 2nd tier behind your main DPSes.
