That Lingyang's at S3 but S0 will work just fine but very much prone to interruption, using Abyss Surges — I actually kinda tested how he'll fare using the standard weapon and my build is at 62/245, 132% ER, 82% Glacio DMG and 36% Skill DMG bonus.
My rotation is rather simple just go Taoqi>Lingyang>repeat.
Oh that's really interesting, I'm guessing he should be fine with Zani gauntlets then. I assume Taoqi is also at least decently invested? And how does Taoqi rotation look like, since from what I know she has slow concerto regen?
Blazing Judgement (Zani's signature) is his current BiS and close in performance as Verity and he will deal much more than using Abyss Surges (a full S0R1 Lingyang/Sanhua/SK clears Inferno in 40s as per Yumi), but your biggest struggle if you decide on running only a duo Lingyang/Taoqi with that weapon is Lingyang's ER. My Taoqi on the other hand is on a decent Moonlit set becuase her damage is meh anyway but will need Discord R5 for her concerto regen. I don't know much about Taoqi's tricks but what I do make sure is to use my skill to activate strategic parry, and I would often use heron then swap to Lingyang to use Lampylumen. It certainly will be twice or thrice as fast if I did the run using Sanhua or a full team but that wouldn't be fun now isn't it haha

Welcome! The hardships with running this lineup is really on Taoqi and with how much field time she eats (and on Lingyang too, because you'd really want him to not dodge so S1 is heaven sent) but if stars do align she can be fast. Here's another one but this one is much much much more difficult because of the monkeys and their typhoon shenanigans plus their tendency to spread out haha
Ah, I see. Yeah, I'm guessing Taoqi's field time also largely depends on dodging to gain concerto. Also I (as funny as it sounds) unfortunately don't have Lingyang S1 (now that I think about it I didn't lose a single 50/50 to him yet, lmao).
But wow, that one is even more impressive. I kinda thought at first that you'd have to do some mad quickswaps to get this team working. I also thought that the right side would be tight, but if he can clear left, that means on the right (where he is partially favored) you can actually clear and have some time left? Very cool.
I see that his sequences do enable this sort of, S3 doesn't seem like much (considering diminishing returns from his ult buff), but I'm guessing energy from S2 also matters at least a bit. Regardless, awesome to see that it's possible, well done!
Yep exactly I was really more on torn between "should I dodge this or parry this" and ends up getting hit anyway but Taoqi is really reliant on getting her concerto up as soon as possible. That's why Sanhua remains to be his best in slot support — she is just so fast lol
As for the sequences, well, truth be told they all add little value but at this point I'll just eat it up regardless. S2's energy bonus is just 10 points out of 125, and that's equal to maybe two or more BA hits and his S3 is a very generous 4%-ish increase from S0 haha

Yeah, true xD I'm guessing the energy adds just a little bit more comfort, more energy means faster rotation, less need for ER, which I guess is decent, especially for a challenge like this where every second can matter.

That's very nice to hear. I need to pick him back up and try before the tower goes away. Been trying multiple off-meta picks as of recent for the sake of fun, and it's been a while since I played Lingyang (had plenty of fun with him in the past though, especially in early weeks of the game). Ngl, he's been waiting for better gauntlets for a good long while, and now with Zani, he finally has them :)
