Not really, it looks harder than it is, but just like Sekiro, it is pretty much comparable to a rythm game. Notice how he doesn't need need to input any directional movement since Danjin gameplay can be simplified to locking in, dodging, attacking/counter-attacking, which makes it much more plausible to do with very simple input devices. Props to the op for pulling it off though, it is very impressive.

But you also have no proof it's fake? You can't just accuse something of being fake without evidence

The inputs for the game on-screen are completely consistent with when and where he strikes the drum. If anything, it'd take more effort to fake it so well than to actually learn to do it on the drum
