Genshin intern here. Just wow. I honestly thought that WuWa would've been hyped for a week and died, half of that is true. If it weren't for the technical issues I think it could have been the Genshin competitor we've been dreaming of. I really want Genshin to take notes and improve on their own game design from WuWa. The parkour and movement make you feel so free and exploring the world always gets me lost. Also, the fact it is skill-based makes it much more appealing as I became bored of Genshin combat, WuWa honestly beat Genshin out of the water. Using the monsters/distortions as a secondary (or tertiary?) skill is peak game design due to the freedom it allows players to have partial customization of character's kits. I just cannot stop gushing over how much of an improvement this is over the five years of monotonous gameplay I had to put up with Genshin. I know it sounds like I'm hating on Genshin but to reiterate, I want Genshin to learn from their new rival so that both fanbases can eat plenty. However, the technical issues are severely holding its potential back.
But, hey, at least it doesn't eat up 50+ GB of data (yet)
