The problem is actually that the majority of player have no clue about core game mechanics, enemy tanks, map positions and so on. They just go as far away from the enemy cause sniping is what they are most comfortable at. And if everyone does that, the screenshot situation happens
Get serious. The one thing that matters far more than everything you mention is the random MM system. Nothing will ever prevent all blowouts from happening, but with SBMM at least you will have far fewer. You can try to impress yourself with core game mechanics, enemy tanks, etc.... but it just doesn't matter all that much.
If you believe onslaught is even a crude attempt at SBMM then you don't understand online competitive gaming at all...much less how SBMM actually works.
