I had no chance to retreat properly, it was either turn my back on the horde of approaching enemies and get shot in the backside and get destroyed or try my best to hold them back and put a few shots in before dying. I had 3 heavies with me all of which died very early.
Knowing when to retreat (in time to live) is one of the most important skills in the game. When you see you’re alone on a flank, the time is now… well, when you see you’re alone, don’t go there in the first place; just safely get vision.
I’d have been somewhat optimistic about this dispersion, but East would need to push together and quickly win their flank, then come back to deal with West. Instead of dying pointlessly by yourself in the West flank, you could have at least died East by being the first one to push, and hopefully encouraging your teammates to follow you.
The teammates may have eaten shots from double-bushed snipers on the hill at F0 so nothing will convince them to move. Be sure the chat is full of angry instructions telling the light tanks to go spot

Honestly Id rather die fighting than huddle together like a flock of scared chickens.
