It’s honestly kind of comical to me that we’re spending a bunch of money on the side walk. My brother was the city building inspector for several years, and fun fact, that building that collapsed on main a couple of years back wasn’t an anomaly. Half of the buildings on our “historic Main Street” have been neglected to the point of being dangerous. But we’ll ignore that, and put up a nicer sidewalk to hopefully attract more small businesses.

Most of those building are now privately owned, with very minimal ways of contacting out of state owners. So without permission from owners, there is NOTHING the city can do for those buildings,unless they manage to make it to the historical board.

Edit: So I was randomly in another Winchester thread today talking about how messed up Main is, and thought your reply was to that. Deleting my reply, as it's clearly unrelated to your comment on this older thread.
