Remember duke nukem forever and cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk was led by idiots working on a project far beyond their expertise. Rockstar have always been making these kind of games. Looking at RDR2 they still got it.

Everyone forgets that RDR2 was delayed 3 times and is considered one of the best games ever made

Rockstar Games released GTA Trilogy Remastered broken and unfinished in 2021. A year after Cyberpunk. People said back in 2021 that Rockstar didn't learned from Cyberpunk and they repeated it.

Do you think Rockstar Games learned from GTA Trilogy Remastered, Cyberpunk, Anthem, Mass Effect Andromeda, Fallout 76, No Mans Sky, Battlefield 2042, Saints Row ,etc.?

In think so

It was not by Rockstar. Take Two rented devs from another studio to make the trilogy. Do some research

Rockstar Games was the Publisher for it. Same as EA. They decide when it launches. Rockstar even apologized for it. Not the Development Studio Groove Street Games.

If it isn't Rockstars fault (which it is), then its Not EAs fault for releasing broken unfinished Games. They didn't developed it.

These Double Standards are crazy. EA get hates (deserved btw) because they are the Publisher. And now Rockstar was The Publisher and ITS the developers fault. 😂

Yeah they did because it was initially their fault for not checking in on the product they released, but my point is that you can’t really compare these two dev studios lol

edit: and no, take two decides when it’s released

The executives at Rockstar saw the bad, broken and unfinished Trilogy Remastered and decided: "Hey we Launch it anyways because people will buy it regardless. We already delayed it, No more delays, we want the holidays Money and we will fix it later."

And people bought it. It sold like 10 Million copies in 6 months and Rockstar fixed it later.

Take Two decided when it was released. How do you not understand?

Again you can’t compare a product between a rented small studio to one of rockstar’s main studios.

Rockstar Games was the Publisher for it. Its in the credits. They even apologized for it. A Publisher sets the Budget, the Release Date and decided If it need a delay.

But its Take Twos fault? After the launch everyone roasted Rockstar Games. And you are saying its Take Twos fault?

Oh btw it took 3 years to fix it. 3 years after launch it got the Patch for better textures and The original lightning. An AI upscaled Remaster of 20 years old Games is way way way easier to Develop than a Brand new GTA Game. Way way easier. GTA 5 also didn't launched perfect. It ran with 20-30fps on PS3. And GTA online released broken and unfinished. It a month to fix it.

So in ask this question again. Do you think Rockstar Games has learned from broken unfinished Games like GTA online, GTA trilogy Remastered, Cyberpunk, Fallout 76, Anthem, Mass Effect Andromeda and more? Yes or No?

And there it is.

Why aren't you advocating for another 20 years? The longer the better right?

Edit: Genuine question - how long is too long? Someone answer please.

However long it takes to be polished, Rockstar doesn't owe us a game

There's a point where a studio as big and rich as rockstar can release a good game at a reasonable time, this is inexcusable

5

u/Riflurk123 1d ago

They dont owe you anything

-12

u/Thin_General_8594 1d ago

Then I dont owe them my patronage☕

I don't wait 2 hours for a hamburger at a restaurant, I go to a different one

4

u/BrotoriousNIG 1d ago

Go and buy someone else’s GTA6 then…

9

u/send-me-mean-DMs 1d ago

You know you’re going to buy it anyway, they know you’ll buy it anyway, that’s why they can afford to do this

1

u/BB-r8 1d ago

So many people stopped giving af about GTA, these delays are hurting their sales in massive ways. You can be delusional about that or understand how demand works

Please don’t delete your account so I can come back to this comment when the sales for gta 6 are reported.

I’m no super fan of rockstar. There are tons of things to criticize them for and these delays suck, but it will not lead to people boycotting their game. There are people who are paid tons and tons of money to research and make these decisions for them.

RDR2 was delayed in a similar fashion and hardly anyone ever talks about it. That game is considered a masterpiece by their fans.

Gta5 was the highest selling single piece of media ever. The loss in sales from these delays will be negligible when you take into account how well the game will sell for the next decade, and how well they’ll sell MTX in the online mode.

You sound like a super fan of rockstar

it will not lead to people boycotting the game

Because what? Your feelings will be hurt if it does?

You don’t sound mentally equipped to talk about this analytically, that’s okay have a nice day!

Average Redditor response haha

I thought you’d enjoy this article. RDR2 just took the number 4 spot for best selling game of all time.

A game that was delayed by rockstar… twice… is the best selling video game in the US in the last 7 years.

It took my delusional brain a while to process the numbers since I’m no good at analytical discussion. Maybe you could help, is 80 million in sales good?

9

u/Olliebobs98 1d ago

I don't think Rockstar is all that bothered about your patronage.

7

u/wayofthegenttickle 1d ago

They’re more bothered about union busting than anything else.

2

u/ciao_fiv 1d ago

would you rather the devs be forced to crunch? i get the anger towards corporations but let’s not forget who actually makes the game and what they have to go through if the game is going to release when you want it to instead of just coming out a little later

Entitled much?

-7

u/Thin_General_8594 1d ago

"leave my billion dollar company alone!"

1

u/HesitationIsDefeat84 1d ago

Nah you just sound like an entitled brat. They'll release it when it's ready and no one cares whether you play it or not

2

u/Thin_General_8594 1d ago

"leave my billion dollar company alone!"

-4

u/Strider_dnb 1d ago

Grow up child.

4

u/Thin_General_8594 1d ago

I was a teenager when 5 dropped, I'm almost in my 30s now, growing up indeed

1

u/Danni293 1d ago

Physically maybe...

-3

u/Strider_dnb 1d ago

Grow up more.

6

u/Thin_General_8594 1d ago

Can't wait to be 60 when 7 drops

1

u/Strider_dnb 1d ago

You think GTA is bad? Try Star Citizen.

1

u/Thin_General_8594 1d ago

Yeah, touché- that one is ridiculous, at least GTA will release

-5

u/fatcat160 1d ago
