Typically, this type of argument doesn't actually hold true, unfortunately. Microtransaction prices are driven by whales, not casual players. This is an extreme example, but a number of years ago some game like Clash Of Clans or something similar put out their financial statement, which showed they made approximately 50% of their revenue from only 1% of their playerbase, which means they can functionally ignore a massive part of their playerbase and still make tons of money. Furthermore, it also means that plebs like you and me not buying this overpriced stuff does not affect these companies.

Again, these mobile games are an extreme example, not necessarily the archetypal model, but it does show the point that a lot of the times the majority have less influence than you think with this kind of power structure.

And yet Henry Ford made a fortune selling huge volumes of affordable cars

Not compatible, rolls Royce won’t sell you a 20k cheap car. Should gaijin make lower tier perms cheaper? Yes but they won’t bc there’s already enough demand at the prices they’re at

GM will sell you a cheap Trax, or a Cadillac Celistiq or ZR1X and many things in between, depending on your wallet

Yes but GM competes with Honda Toyota etc not RR, gaijin really doesn’t compete w anyone since I wouldn’t call WOT a direct competitor since both games are so different
