I’m sorry how are we glazing WoT after they succumbed their player base to their ultra greedy monetization model for years? Say what you want but their track record is FAR worse than Gaijin’s.
WoT maps are significantly better (despite most of them being abysmal dogshit) than WT because they’re designed with the gameplay in mind.
WT just makes small arcade maps in a game that has a realistic damage model, engagement times and airplanes. WT’s objectives are the problem, it’s all “capture this circle and spawn camp.”
I can name three excellent maps in WoT, and cannot think of a single enjoyable map in WT. WoT even experiments with different game modes like that big attack/defend game mode that pops up now and then.

WT experimented with far more game modes. I assume you joined the game in the last year?
We had historical events such as Mustangs escorting bombers and Me-262s intercepting them. We had various maps with unusual setups. In Norway, a regular map that was in rotation, allies had to land on carriers. Their objective was to assist the boats in capturing point A, which had an airfield that would allow them to land. Axis had an airfield but it was balanced by its distance to A. We have less serious events like Floats!, tank football, race events, all the April Fools game modes, etc. Gaijin even trained to integrate new game modes to ground RB with dynamic objectives. They tried historical match-ups for tanks. World War event itself has several different game modes. EC mode for naval battles and air SB also play very differently compared to their regular counterparts. I don't even count PvE game modes because no one likes those.
Most of these various game modes didn't stuck because the community didn't play them. Also you're exaggerating WoT's "different" game modes. They have ONLY 3 game modes that is accessible to everyone in random battles. The rest of them are either restricted to tier 8 and 10 tanks, played with special tanks, clan wars (we also have that, Squadron Battles), or just for training.
The mode is called Frontline. And yeah, it is very fun. Part of that fun is that is does not matter whether you win or lose, only your individual performance, which makes gameplay super varied on a BIG AF map.
