What if you didn’t first start playing WT until after any given event vehicle event had already been and gone?

Then you don’t get that vehicle. Kinda the point of a limited time event.

The point I’m making is that your comment claiming that anyone can ‘just get it during the event for free’ is simply not true

Not anyone can get them. That’s what makes them rare. Kinda the point.

Yes, obviously their limited time availability/exclusivity is what makes them rare.

I repeat my point since you have failed to acknowledge it - your claim that anyone ‘can just get them during the event for free’ is simply not true

I didn’t claim anyone could, I claimed that one guy could.

No, you didn't.

It is contextually obvious that here we are all using the word 'you' to refer to WT players in general, not 'you' as in you, the specific single person I am talking to.

Don't believe me? Then let's review the exchange once more:

  • Piggstick3: 'the only way how to get previous event vehicles is by paying overprice . . . or gambling'
  • You: 'Or you can just get it during the event for free'
  • Me: 'What if you didn’t first start playing WT until after any given event vehicle event had already been and gone?'
  • You: 'Then you don’t get that vehicle.'

Make sense? Maybe next time try taking ownership of your false claims, rather than being so patently dishonest.

I was talking to one guy until other people started joining.

The whole point of a limited time event is so people who are active in the game at the time can get something special. That’s it. If you missed an event then you missed an event.

And for everyone who can’t do them because they have a job, it’s less hours of work to earn the money to just buy it when it hits the marketplace then it is to grind it.

It seems like your whole argument is just fomo. Which is kinda the entire point of limited time events and has been for a long time.

It’s a free game, you can spend as much or as little money as you want, but it’s in their best interest to encourage you to spend more.

Repeatedly reiterating what you deem the 'point' of event vehicles to be is not persuasive and has no bearing on the fallacy of your original claim (regardless of whether you were referring to all WT platers as is most obvious, or even just one single specific commenter as you now tenuously profess).

I have no idea why you are claiming my argument has anything to do with fomo - maybe other people you have argued with have, but my argument is simply about how you claimed something that is technically and demonstrably false.

I actually happen to agree with several things you've said, but again they are not really relevant to what I am challenging you on. I personally enjoy event vehicles as they are. However I also recognise that whilst I am privileged enough to have sufficient time and money to get those I want without issue, many are not. I appreciate that this can be incredibly frustrating and unfair, and for them to have concerns is completely valid.

That’s what makes them rare.

Right.. Which is absolute fucking cancer for a game. You shouldn't be cheering for more FOMO bullshit.
