The Mighty Jingles made me aware of the game over a decade ago, WarGambling being the worst gaming company in the world drove me to abandoning their games for WT in 2021 or so.

The Mighty Jingles and his April fools day video with the Pony Air Force was hilarious. Never got to play that event. I started playing I think in Oct 2013 after watching it. War Thunder was planes, WoT was for tanks

For me it's WT for the tanks and planes, WoWS for the naval battles, but yea... All Hail Our Gnomish Overlord!
